Loveless Marriage novel Chapter 150

After an hour, they arrived at a small apartment.

Isabella looked up to the building and turned to Canon: "Why don't you rest in the car for a while. I'll be right back."

Canon calmly replied, "Based on what happened today, I think I'd better stay with you."

Isabella went silent. After pondering for a second, she said seriously, "Don't tell him about what happened today."

She just didn't want him to know for no reason.

Canon asked in a bland voice, "Do you mean the car accident...or you coming to visit this sir?"

"…" Isabella choked. Why did that sound as if she cheated on Christian?

With a dark face, she bit her lips and smiled, "Both."

"I'm sorry, you're not my employer. I can't follow your order." Canon apologetically said.

"…"

Even though she'd already known his answer, Isabella was still so angry that her face turned purple. Clenching her handbag tightly, she entered the building without saying a word.

Sure enough, money could make a difference.

Isabella went to the floor that Minh'd told her. After glancing around, she knocked on his door.

The knock sound went far in the quiet long corridor, but no one came to open the door.

Frowning, Isabella then knocked a few more times, with her force increased.

She waited anxiously outside for a long time before the door was finally opened.

The strong smell of alcohol immediately came to her nose.

Isabella then saw a man with a pale face, messy hair and t-shirt. He bent over and covered his belly with a hand as he smiled weakly, "Miss Jones... You really came. I thought you were just joking."

"Oh my God, Minh...How much did you drink?" Isabella was extremely shocked. What did he do to himself within just one day?

Being angry as we worried at the same time, she rushed over to help him up, "What's going on?"

"I'm okay..." Minh frowned, as if he was afraid of being blamed by her. Then he smiled guiltily, and his gaze landed on Canon beside Isabella, asking, "Miss Jones, who is this?"
