If he hadn’t seen Isabella’s shoes at the entrance hall, Christian would have thought that he went to the wrong door.

"Mr. Miller." Luke reached out his hand and smiled friendly, "We’ve met at the Yue Hotel before. I'm Luke. Isabella's friend."

Christian suddenly remembered what happened in Yue, where he saw Luke and Isabella chat intimately with each other, looking like more than just friends.

Feeling a little uncomfortable, Christian still shook hands with Luke out of politeness, "I’m Christian."

When he saw the little girl on sofa, Christian subconsciously looked towards Luke, thinking she should be his daughter. Inexplicably, he felt a bit glad.

Diana and Isabella were busy in the kitchen. Christian walked over, “Do you need any help?”

"No, you're the guest. Make yourself at home."

Seeing Isabella completely ignore him, and Christian frowned.

He felt that this meal shouldn’t be that simple.

Soon, a sumptuous table of dishes was prepared.

Diana kept talking with Luke. From her, Christian knew that Luke was once a student of Mr. Jones and he was divorced recently.

It seemed that Diana like Luke a lot, as she scoops food into Luke's bowl from time to time, without even looking at Christian. The whole atmosphere wasn't good, but not as silent as before.

Isabella did not say a word until she was done eating.

She placed the divorce settlement on table, then said calmly: "Christian, I hope you can sign on it."

"Haven’t we agreed that we’ll talk about this later?" Christian knew that the dinner wasn’t that simple, but he just didn’t expect this. "Can you tell me why you left the ring in my office?"
