The next morning, Madelyn woke up groggily to see Andrew getting dressed. She blushed hard, seeing a few scratch marks on his clean toned back.

Andrew turned around and met her sleepy, evasive eyes with a smile. “Did you see the evidence you left behind?”

Madelyn immediately hid under the covers, but Andrew forcefully pulled her out. “Didn’t I tell you that hiding under the covers can be suffocating? It’s bad for your health.”

“But you’re making fun of me!” Madelyn muttered, struggling to hide again.

Andrew didn’t push her further, allowing her to wrap herself up like a cocoon. He ruffled her hair affectionately. “Stay home and behave. I’ll be back for lunch.”

“No, I have to go to the Garcia Manor for lunch today.”

“To visit Grandma?” Andrew asked.

“Yes, her!” Madelyn avoided saying the word “Grandma. As far as she knew, she had never called Victoria that. After all, she was already ten years old when she returned to the Gracia family.

Madelyn had always been straightforward in avoiding people who didn’t like her. Since Victoria had no good feelings about Madelyn, Madelyn didn’t like her back, either!

Andrew immediately understood and frowned. “What’s the point of going back? They’ll just upset you.” According to what Andrew saw, Madelyn had never had a good time with the Garcias. Every visit to the Garcia Manor ended with her feeling upset.

Still sleepy, Madelyn said, “They’ve called so many times. If I don’t go and see what’s up, who knows what trouble they might cause?”

Madelyn knew what he was thinking and reached out under the covers to grab his warm fingers. “I need to take back what they took from me, don’t I?”

Andrew was stunned. Suddenly, Madelyn got up and jumped on him.

Andrew helplessly sighed. “I really can’t handle you.”

He didn’t expect Madelyn to think of reclaiming the projects Garcia Group had taken from him. He thought it would be good enough if she didn’t blindly agree to their conditions, let alone take anything back.

But regardless of her changes, the Garcia family shouldn’t expect to get more benefits from him.
