Chapter 200
Andrew sighed. He decided that in the future, he would always ask first, regardless of what happens. Otherwise, he’d have to do the soothing himself if he angered Madelyn.
Sensing the tension, David quickly ushered the housekeepers downstairs, leaving Andrew and Madelyn alone in the dining room.
Andrew didn’t bother hiding his affection.
“You’re right, darling. I was wrong. It won’t happen again. Are we okay now?”
“You hung up on me too.”
Madelyn pouted. The fact that he ended their call earlier, something he’d never done before, lingered in
her mind.
Andrew’s head throbbed. He knew he was at fault. If he’d known, he would have confronted Easton directly that day. He quietly scolded himself for being upset with her.
“Yes. From now on, no matter what happens, I’ll be the one to hang up last. Can we agree not to be angry. anymore, darling?”
“Okay.”
Madelyn left it at that. She knew Andrew always lost his temper over Easton, so she decided not to push further.
Still, she promised herself she’d handle Easton on her own.
Andrew breathed a sigh of relief when Madelyn finally gave in.
“Did you really not have lunch?”
“Yeah. I was waiting for you to call, but you ignored me
Andrew felt even more remorseful. Madelyn seemed still a child at heart. From now on, no matter how upset he was, he needed to ensure she was cared for.
It might seem indulgent, but who was to blame? They had both grown accustomed to it. He could only continue to spoil her.
After dinner, Andrew personally helped Madelyn shower, mindful of how he’d upset her earlier.
“Darling, I’m thinking of cutting my hair,” Madelyn suddenly said as Andrew dried her hair.
Andrew’s hand holding the dryer trembled.
“Why?”
“It’s too long and thick. It takes forever to dry after washing.”
Her long, voluminous hair took forever to dry after a wash, which Madelyn found a real hassle.
“No cutting,” Andrew insisted firmly, brooking no argument.
He’d watched her grow her hair out under his care and wasn’t ready to see it go.
Madelyn hadn’t expected Andrew to be so firm and dominant and huffed, “Then you should dry it for me every day.”
“Okay.”

Andrew nodded.
Madelyn smiled sweetly. Her heart warmed up as his slender fingers combed through her hair delicately, as he was mindful not to cause any discomfort.
She couldn’t help but think about how much time she had wasted in her past life. The idea that she had squandered it arguing with him made her even more frustrated with Easton.
Noticing her silence, Andrew turned off the hair dryer and asked, “What are you thinking about?”
