I returned his smile while asking Brandon, “You seem to be on the same wavelength as him. For the first time, I saw an employee eating with their boss after an interview.”

suspicions. 

“Mr. Roulder bought me a meal to know more about me. After all…” -Brandon paused for a moment before continuing, “A three million 

annual salary isn’t little.” 

I was stunned. That was his annual salary? I didn’t know how capable he was until then. 

“What’s wrong? Do you think I’m not worth that?” He was straightforward. 

I tugged at my lips. “No… What was your salary at your previous company?” 

“30 thousand dollars per month.” I was speechless at his answer. 

Xander had offered him ten times the amount.
