Caleb woke up to Eva's movements, watched her struggle in her sleep and occasionally emerge with a couple of words, sweating profusely, and finally chose to wake her up.
"Eva, wake up."
Eva has rarely had nightmares since the two of them have been together, she always sleeps peacefully in Caleb's arms. This time, I don't know if it's because Caleb has had an accident or because people in the club have been showing up too often lately, making her dream once again about the past five years.
"Caleb?" Eva's eyes snapped open and the last scene in her dream was of Caleb in a car accident, standing in front of her in a bloody mess.
"I'm here, baby." Caleb took the person into his arms for comfort.
"Caleb," Eva said, hugging Caleb tightly with a pang of fear.
The day is slightly cool, daylight creeps up little by little, shining into the window of the ward, shining on the two people holding each other tightly on the bed. The years are still good, you are still beside me, everything is just right.
Eva recalled the scene in the dream, nestled in Caleb's arms no longer sleepy, the five years of memory is not particularly bad, after all, also met people who care about her, take care of her.
But it's not particularly good.
She also knew that Caleb already had suspicions about JT and their identity. Last night Luke rushed to the hospital and told her about JT dealing with Lumenstone, but she really didn't dare to confess, afraid to.
Caleb is also sleepless, listening to Eva cry for help in her sleep, but can not wake her up, in her eyes when she just opened the eyes of the stern gaze, all make him worried.
"Eva, what did you dream about that you can tell me about?" Caleb asked in a deep voice.
"Dreamed about the accident you had yesterday, it was much more dangerous in the dream than it is now, it was horrible." Eva answered evasively.
That's really what her dream was about, too, only it wasn't the main event.
Caleb couldn't really get inside Eva's head to see if she was telling the truth. The two talked about other things until the doctor came by to check on the room and interrupted the quiet time.
The doctor asked Caleb a bunch of questions and double-checked his condition.
"Well?" Eva asked nervously.
"There's nothing more wrong, one more day of observation and then you can be discharged."
"Thank you, doctor." Eva breathed a fierce sigh of relief when she heard him answer.
"Caleb, I'll send Mr. Pearce over to keep you company while I go home and bring you a change of clothes." After the doctor left, Eva said with her head down.
Caleb raised an eyebrow and said, "Just have the maid bring it over, go back and get some rest, you didn't get much rest last night either."
"Um, I'll make you some soup before I come over." Eva nodded.
The smile on her face instantly collapsed as she left the hospital room, clutching her phone fiercely, her eyes filled with suppressed anger. She did not go straight home as she had promised Caleb, but ordered the maid to get her things ready and she turned her car around and headed straight for the hotel where JT was located.
