"Caleb, will you really betray me?" Eva reached out to trace Caleb's delicate features and murmured.
After sleeping, Caleb is less rigid, but no less charming.
"I wish you would have told me that the man I saw today was not you."
"If one day you really leave me, what should I do?"
"Do you give up on me?"
The sleeping Caleb did not know that Eva had been mumbling to him all night, let alone what kind of internal struggle Eva had gone through this night.
The next day, Eva woke up listlessly, her dark circles under her eyes unusually obvious because she had not slept all night.
"Eat something, I heard Mom say you haven't eaten much since yesterday."
Caleb saw Eva coming downstairs and thoughtfully brought Eva breakfast.
Eva sat quietly at the table without saying a word, only drinking a glass of milk and putting it down.
"What, bad appetite?" Caleb frowned when he saw that the breakfast in front of Eva hadn't moved at all.
"No, don't really want to eat." Eva replied coldly, looking at Caleb with some sadness and resignation in her eyes.
But when Caleb asks her what's wrong, Eva keeps her mouth shut, fearing that if she speaks out they won't be the same.
Caleb saw Eva this way, anxious, and can not find the reason, the morning work are a little distracted, open the file did not look into, and finally he simply take the car keys and drive home.
Caleb had just arrived home when he saw Eva scrambling to get ready to leave the house.
"What's wrong, what's going on?" Caleb asked.
"Hana is sick and in the hospital." Eva responded in a hurry, forgetting that she was angry with Caleb.
She had just heard the news and was very worried.
"You take it slow, I'll get the car." Caleb instructed Eva, and by the time the two arrived at the hospital, Hana had already been admitted to the hospital room.
"How is Hana? What did the doctor say?" Eva saw that Hana did not have her usual aura and asked Nathan on the side with some heartache.
"The cold triggered into pneumonia, need to be hospitalized for a period of observation." Nathan's voice was low and hoarse, looking at his own baby daughter with a heartfelt look.
"It's okay, it's good to observe for a few more days, in a few days Hana will be alive and well again." Eva said comfortingly.
Briella had been sitting on the edge of the bed, holding little Hana's hand, wishing she could have suffered for her.
"Briella, don't worry too much, take good care of Hana," Eva didn't know how to comfort them, a feeling she herself felt so deeply that she didn't know where to begin to advise.
"It's all my fault for being too careless, and I didn't take Hana's cold to heart." Briella looked self-condemned, originally Hana had some small cold, Briella thought it was nothing serious, so she fed her some medicine, never thought it would become so serious.
