When Vicky accidentally knocked over Maria, she did not think much and helped Maria to get on her feet.

Her purse had a back pocket that did not have a zip. If Maria was fast enough, she could totally slip the bracelet into the back pocket when she did not notice. She was aware of these dirty tricks happening at the upper-class dinner party. The loss of memory led her to let her guard down with Maria because she did not remember Maria. That was why she easily fell into Maria's trap.

Vicky looked at Maria and said, "That's weird. Miss Sparks, why are you so sure I was the one who took your bracelet before even searching for it? Did you see with your own eyes that I was the one who took your bracelet?"

Maria was not afraid. She insisted, "My bracelet went missing after you knocked me over. It happened less than a couple of minutes ago. Who else can it be other than you?"

Vicky scoffed, "But you haven't even searched for it? What if your bracelet fell off somewhere else?"

Maria was confident. "If you didn't fight over this bracelet with me before, I would never suspect you. But since that happened, isn't it normal for me to suspect you? Vicky Shaw, don't try to divert our attention and transfer the bracelet elsewhere!"

After a pause, she continued loudly, "Vicky, open your purse and let everyone take a look. If I'm wrong, I will apologize to you in front of everyone and I will make it up to you. However, I'm not asking for much if the bracelet is in your purse. I'm fine that you just return it back to me."

Based on Maria's attitude, Vicky was certain the bracelet was definitely in her purse. Otherwise, Tyler could not stand having his wife accused of being a thief, no matter how much he disliked her.

"Miss Shaw. Miss Sparks' suggestion is full of sincerity. Just open your purse and let us take a look."
