Chapter 1021
Adeena sat in the living room and took a sip of the coffee. It was just as she liked it.
She sat near the coffee table, and was just in time to enjoy Sea City’s sunrise. The golden sun shone over the city, and the glass windows of high–rise buildings reflected the sunlight, making it look resplendent.
The lounge door clicked and was gently opened.
She put down the cup of coffee in her hand and stood up. She then said with a smile, “Good morning, Mr. Winters.”
Duke looked at her in silence. She was seated by the window, and the bright morning sun shone on her face, revealing the peach fuzz on it.
Her loose strands were hanging loosely by her ear and two strands of her hair were sticking by the side of her lips. He wanted to raise his hand and brush it off, but he was afraid that it would startle her.
“Good morning, Ms. Willis.” He sat on the couch. “Let’s discuss our project.”
Adeena let out a sigh of relief.
‘His gaze was so deep as he looked at me earlier.
‘I was a little worried that he would suddenly get handsy with me again...‘ She sat opposite him.
“This is the proposal. Please have a look.”
He opened the proposal booklet and read through it very quickly. He turned one page after the other within a few seconds. He probably read only less than ten lines per page.
In less than three minutes, he was done looking through the proposal.
He said calmly, “Ms. Willis, excellent work. In just a few days, you were able to come up with such a perfect proposal. I‘m satisfied with it.” Adeena frowned.
