Chapter 27 Striking Resemblance
As the man entered, he exuded a commanding and dignified demeanor in his every gesture.
His deep, ocean-like eyes landed on Anastasia and gave a subtle nod.
None of the crowd present had noticed this small detail.
Anastasia then took a moment to gather herself before lowering her eyes to study the information about the man's background.
The Stanford Group, known for its formidable influence abroad and mysterious background, had recently come under the leadership of Jaxon Stanford. Jaxon was a decisive and ruthless figure who carved a path through the fierce internal conflicts within the group, gaining complete control over its affairs.
The Graves Group held this collaboration in high regard, and Jaxon's involvement showed that the Stanford Group was genuinely committed to the partnership. Collaboration was bound to happen.
Anastasia was only there as an observer, but the scope and complexity of the project they discussed left her both amazed and excited.
The conference went on for an hour.
Derek and Jaxon came to a preliminary agreement with ease during their discussion.
After the meeting concluded and everyone had left, Derek invited Jaxon to his office for a chat, and Jaxon gladly accepted the offer.
Derek turned around and looked at his sister, invitingly saying, "Anastasia, you should come too."
Anastasia didn't even have a chance to refuse.
However, she found herself intrigued by Jaxon's appearance, and, with a smile, she nodded in response to her brother's invitation.
She entered the office after them, and Derek introduced, "Mr. Stanford, this is my sister, Anastasia Graves."
"I know," Jaxon acknowledged, "Mr. Derek Graves once told me that his sister has a way of standing out in a crowd, as she's the most radiant one."
Jaxon then smiled faintly, and it softened the coldness in his demeanor. He appeared to be both charming and enigmatic. But in the next moment, he suddenly drew closer.
A sudden cold and distant scent emanated from him, causing Anastasia to look up instinctively.
