Chapter 600
“When you and Theresa divorced, do you have any idea how happy I was? Because I thought we can be together again! Can you forgive me? I know you still have feelings for me! You only treat Theresa so well because you want to make me jealous, right? Why else would you love a divorced woman so much? I don’t believe you really love her! I’m the one you really love, me, Sarah Cameron, is the only woman in your life!”
Right after Sarah finished saying all that, Charlie immediately pushed her away with a big swing. As she was wearing high heels, Sarah staggered and fell onto the ground. When she recovered from the shock that Charlie had just pushed her onto the ground, Charlie and all his men had already left in the car. Sarah was left alone sitting on the floor outside the airport with a wounded knee.
Shit!
Sarah was furious and on the verge of crying.
‘He’s so violent! I’m already begging him like this, why won’t he forgive me still? How long is he going to be angry with me? He was the one who forced my family into a crisis so that I would come back and marry him! Now that I’m willing to be with him, and he won’t take me back?’
In the afternoon, when Theresa was decorating the new house and preparing for the festival, her phone rang. Ben brought her phone to her and said, “Mom, a call.”
“Pick it up,” Theresa said.
Ben picked the call up and put it on speakers.
“Hello,” Theresa said first.
Sarah’s cold voice came from the other side of the call. “Theresa, where are you?”
Theresa calmly said, “You’re really funny. When the company was doing well, you took all the credit. Now that it’s in trouble, suddenly you thought of me?”
Sarah did not know how to rebut.
Theresa continued, “Also, about Lloyd, did I not remind you before you signed the contract with him? What did you tell me back then? And what reason are you using to ask me for help now?”
Sarah froze for a moment. Indeed, she did not listen to Theresa back then, who would have known it now turned out that Theresa was coincidentally correct.
Sarah clenched her fists and said, “All things aside, look at what happened to the company now, what’s the point of arguing about these things now? Do you have any idea how worried dad is after something like this happened? Do you really want him to still worry about the company while he’s still sick?”
