Chapter 650
Charlie and Dick walked out of the door in unison. Since Rawlins hadn’t left, the two men waited.
Charlie was worried about Leonard and Ben.
He glanced at Dick and said, “I’ve never seen you fear a woman like this, Mr. White.” Dick replied, “It’s a gentleman’s instinct to respect a woman. Think I’m like you?” He wouldn’t tell Charlie he cared about Theresa as she could make him sleep well.
No one else could guarantee his sleeping quality if something happened to her.
Jonathan rolled his eyes at him as he didn’t expect Dick to call himself a gentleman.
Jonathan was amused.
Shortly after, Rawlins left the house with Leah. Leah asked Charlie for help, “Charlie, can I go with you?”
She’d rather die than go with Dick’s men, doubting if they would do something to her on the way.
Besides, her hunch told her Theresa’s words to Rawlins had implications. Leah wondered if Theresa colluded with Rawlins to harm her.
She had to admit that she had underestimated Theresa. Much to her surprise, Theresa was friends with
Dick.
Charlie had no mood to get involved. “We’re not going in the same direction.”
Leah couldn’t utter a beep.
Rawlins opened the rear door of a car and gestured to let Leah sit in.
Dick said to Charlie, “Please leave, Mr. Calsis.”
If Charlie refused to go, he would also stay, as he mentioned earlier. After watching Charlies leave, he would go.
Therefore, both parties watched each other and left Theresa’s house together.
In the car, Jonathan darted at Charlie and said, “Please calm down, Mr. Calsis.”
