“Mrs. Atlas, you should know Mr. Atlas’s temperament better than I do. Also, what are you afraid. of? Why are you making life difficult for a mere assistant like me?” Lianne did not know, but her words had struck Suzanne’s weakness. Lianne just vaguely guessed that there must be a deeper reason why Suzanne was looking for her.

Lianne also remembered what Zane told her yesterday. As long as Lianne was still working for him, he would be her backer. With Zane as her backer, who else did she have to be afraid of?

Suzanne’s mask was torn away by Lianne. She stared at Lianne for a long time before she smiled coldly. “Slater, send Ms. Simpson back.”

Suzanne was so angry that she smashed a teacup. “Mere assistant?! This assistant is the woman Old Mrs. Atlas asked Zane to marry. She is still Zane’s legal wife. If I really did anything to her, this news would eventually get out.”

“What?” Willow was extremely surprised. She never imagined that Lianne would be Zane’s registered wife. “Lianne is the woman we’ve been searching for such a long time?”

“Old Mrs. Atlas was worried I would find trouble with that woman, so she protected Lianne very well. For more than a year, I couldn’t find out who Zane’s marriage partner was, no matter what method I used.” Suzanne took a sip of tea to soothe her breath. “It was a coincidence that when I was looking into Zane’s assistant, I found out her husband is Zane.”

The news was so shocking that Willow was still in disbelief. “Lianne is Mr. Atlas’s wife? Then why didn’t she tell Mr. Atlas who she is?”

Suzanne said, “That’s the scary thing about this woman. She tries her best to get close to Zane so that Zane will get attached to her. Then, when the time comes, she’ll confess her identity so that she can stay comfortably in that position. However, what she didn’t know was that Zane really wanted to be with his wife. It was only later that Zane mistook someone for Lianne and misunderstood that his wife was cheating on him. That’s why he wanted a divorce.”
