Marry Me Twice (Kennedy and Charlotte) novel Chapter 281

“Mr. Nelson.”

Megan called him. Zain came to his senses and fixed his eyes on Charlotte.

Seeing that she had changed the clean clothes, he felt relieved and redrew his eyes.

A moment later he thought of something and frowned at Megan.

Megan had to explain, “Ms. Wilson was worried about Diana, so she followed me.”

Hearing Megan's explanation to Zain, Charlotte thought she knew something. She stepped forward to speak for Megan, “I came here on my own. How can I rest now since Diana is in such a state? So I am here with you.”

After that, Zain did not say anything.

After waiting in the emergency room for a long time, Charlotte was helped to sit down by Megan. When she sat down, Charlotte realized that her legs were shaking badly, but she had not noticed it when she stood up.

Megan pressed her hand on her leg.

“Are you All right?”

Hearing that, Charlotte raised her head and met Megan’s concerned eyes, “I'm okay.”

After a while, the door of the emergency room finally opened. Charlotte, who had been sitting, quickly stood up and rushed forward with a stagger.

A man held her in time. Charlotte raised her head and saw Zain’s calm eyes.

“Be careful.” He said quietly.

Charlotte nodded.

“Are you the family of the girl who just cut her wrist?” The doctor came out, Zain went forward and said yes, followed by Charlotte.

“Yes.” Zain answered.

The doctor glanced at him, then at Charlotte, and then he said, “The patient is out of danger. Fortunately, the wound is not deep. If the wound had been deeper, she could not survive.”

Although a moment of fear, Charlotte knew that Diana was OK.

Finally she felt relieved and fell down to ground.

“Ms. Wilson!” Megan was standing right behind her. Seeing her fell backwards, she unconsciously reached out her hand to catch her.

Zain turned around and found that Charlotte had fainted.

The doctor was shocked and went to examine Charlotte. “She should be too frightened,” he said. “Please help her go to the next ward and have a rest. She looked bad.”

Megan nodded and wanted to help Charlotte to the side, but Zain, after talking to the doctor, picked Charlotte up and said to Megan, “You go through the hospitalization procedures.”

Megan stared at the scene in a daze. After a moment, she said, “OK, Mr. Nelson.”

When Zain left with Charlotte, Megan stood in situ to look at this scene.

It was strange that Zain's way of treating Charlotte had already crossed the boundary of ordinary friends, but the way he held Charlotte was not ambiguous at all, but like a brother caring for his sister.

Was it because Charlotte and Diana were good friends, so Zain treated her as a sister too?

Forget it. Why would she think that now? Zain understood well what he should do and should not do. As his secretary, she had nothing to worry about.

Thinking of this, Megan hurried to deal with the hospitalization procedures.

Sebastian left alone standing in place. He did not know what he could do. Then he felt he came out with Charlotte, so it would be better to follow her.

So Sebastian caught up with Zain. When Zain held Charlotte into a ward, and bent down to put her carefully on the bed, Sebastian felt strange but felt that there was no ambiguity between the two people.
