The two fell into silence, till they reached the community.
Before getting out of the car, Alice asked, “Don’t you have a car?”
Hearing that, Kennedy froze, “What?”
“It is my car. I need to use it myself sometimes.”
Kennedy then frowned fiercely, “Am I not here? I said I wouldn't leave you. Just tell me where to go and I'll take you there.”
Alice wrinkled her eyebrows and thought of what she had to do. “It's not convenient,” she said. “You can't always go with me.”
Kennedy raised his eyebrow, “You want to get rid of me?”
“No, don't you live opposite? You can have Nathan bring your car and pick me up with your car.”
At the end, Alice stopped. Realizing what she had just said, she suddenly turned around.
“Forget it, you can do what you want.”
Then she directly opened the door to get off, later, she heard Kennedy also got off to follow her.
“I'll have Nathan bring the car here tomorrow.”
Alice ignored him and went on.
At the door of the elevator, Kennedy asked her, “Are you now satisfied?”
Alice still ignored him, pursed her lips and looked away.
She did not want to admit what she had said.
“Are you shy?”
Alice, “... Shut up.”
Kennedy’s gloomy mood swept away, and he got a smile on his face.
Every day he showed up in order to protect her, in occupation of her time and space.
He knew he swoop in and it was not right.
But he could not control himself. He was selfish and only wanted to get close to her, no matter what happened before.
He didn't want it to happen again, because he didn't know if he could endure another five years of mental anguish.
Of course, he could sense her resistance. However, her resistance had gradually become less.
But to Kennedy, as long as he could occupy all her time and space, whether she was willingly or forced to accept, it didn't matter.
As long as he was around her, other men had no chance.
Even if she didn't accept him, there would not be other men around her.
Into the elevator, Alice leaned on the wall tiredly, and he pulled her over, “If you are tired, lean on my arms.”
Alice, “...”
She thought about it and didn't refuse it.
Two people stayed in a small space so quietly for the first time, until the elevator door opened. Alice was the first out of the elevator.
Kennedy followed her.
At the door, Alice thought of something, turned to look at Kennedy.
She looked serious and said, “Thank you very much for these days. There seems to be no danger these days. And you have work to do, do you want to...
“Are you worried about me? about my company?”
Alice shut up.
“Rest assured I will take care of the work, and I will not leave you alone.”
Alice could not help but look at his black circles under his eyes.
Every morning when she went out, he always followed her and sent her to and from work. How could he handle well the company's affair? Alice thought at most he had just slept for five hours a day.
She bit her lower lip. “Even if you're worried about me, you should take care of yourself.”
