Jeffrey put his hand on Vivian's shoulder and looked at her, panting. Hearing her words, he felt a sharp pain in his heart.
"Listen Vivian, I'm not drunk!"
Vivian felt as if her shoulder was about to crack. She frowned and twitched the corners of her mouth.
"Jeffrey, let me ask the assistant to drive you home."
"Vivian..." Jeffrey tried his best to endure the pain from his hand, but what the woman in front of him said made him even sadder!
He paused and grabbed Vivian's shoulder with all his strength, murmuring, "If you want to go back, let's go back together! You are my wife"
Without saying a word, Vivian gently helped him sit on the sofa, and then stood up to look for clothes for him, but her hand was grabbed tightly by him.
"Don't leave."
Vivian turned around and looked at him. HIs arm was badly injured, but he didn't say anything. If it went on like this, he would pass out. But he was so childish. If she didn't go back with him, she might have to stay here for the night.
"I'm just helping you with your clothes. Don't move!"
Hearing this, Jeffrey felt relieved. He let go of her hand and frowned, as if he was holding back something.
Vivian picked up the clothes on the ground and threw them to him, with disdain and displeasure in her eyes.
Although she didn't have any special feelings for Jeffrey, he was still her husband in public. What she didn't like most was that the thing that used to belong to her was stained by others.
Vivian called her assistant. Jeffrey had already put on her clothes, but she couldn't tie her tie well. She couldn't bear to see it, so she went forward and bent over to help him tidy up. Seeing that his white shirt was bloody red in his arm, she had to put on his suit jacket and help him up.
Very heavy!
The assistant arrived at the right time. He came to help him with one hand. The two didn't go to the Shen family's house directly. After all, Jeffrey was injured, so they went to the villa he often went to.
After a simple bandage on his wound, the assistant injected him with a tranquilizer before he fell asleep.
The next day, when Jeffrey woke up, her mind was in a mess. What happened last night was too messy. She was afraid that Vivian would get the wrong idea!
When he saw her in the kitchen, he saw her skillfully grilling the bread and putting it on a delicate plate. On the table was a simple and delicious breakfast.
Jeffrey smiled, walked up to her and held her waist from behind.
"Good morning, Mrs. Shen."
Vivian felt her waist tightened and was frightened. She slowly responded in a low voice. What happened last night was always lingering in front of her. Thinking of this, she stiffened.
A sharp light flashed across Jeffrey's eyes. He knew what was on Vivian's mind. The one who caused the trouble should bear the consequences.
The assistant knocked on the door of the office and put the documents on the table. Just now, when he knew that the CEO needed these materials, he immediately investigated the whole situation.
"Boss, that's all I have found out."
Jeffrey flipped through the files and slammed the folder on the ground with a loud noise. As expected, there Candice must have a strong background to do such thing.
Looking at the CEO's ambiguous smile, the assistant secretly worried about Candice.
A trace of hatred flashed across Riley's beautiful eyes when she heard Candice's cry.
She stared at the front angrily. She didn't expect that Candice failed. If she was blamed by Jeffrey, Candice didn't dare to tell anyone about her, unless she didn't want to live anymore!
After hanging up the phone, Riley changed her face and gave a triumphant smile. She walked into the cafe and wanted to have a cup of coffee as a reward. Unexpectedly, she ran into Vivian, who was drinking coffee leisurely.
"Hey, sister." Riley said with a fake smile. Since Candice didn't affect the relationship between her and Jeffrey, she should go there in person.
Looking at her fake smile, Vivian smiled slightly and said nothing.
"You think I don't want to talk to you, bitch?" Riley glared at her with a ferocious look, and then smiled, "Do you know that Jeffrey and Candice are together? They were a perfect match! Candice is one of the most beautiful women in our circle. You can't compare with her for sure!"
"So you think you are better than Candice?"
Hearing her aggressive tone, Riley was so angry that she wanted to slap her!
"Riley, this is a public place. You are so shameless, I want to save my face." Vivian didn't want to drink coffee either. She had planned to go out to relax and deal with the troublesome things after returning home. Unexpectedly, she met Riley.
She didn't want to hear Riley's words at all. Although she was surprised that she would know about it, she thought that Candice and she were in the same circle, so they should be friends.
