Marrying the Man in the Dark (Damien and Cherise) novel Chapter 740

Chapter 740 Visiting Rowena

“Perhaps he’ll awaken in high spirits once the situation with the Mortis sisters is settled. Who can say for sure?” Lucy’s words finally soothed Cherise’s heart a little.

Cherise took a deep breath and turned to look outside the ward, “Where is Damien?”

“Your children are still oblivious to the circumstances here. Damien wished to keep them in the dark, so he lied and said you were staying at my place. He’s probably having breakfast with them right now.”

After washing up, Cherise savored the breakfast prepared by Lucy. Cherise felt rejuvenated and looked radiant as she gracefully ascended to the top floor and knocked on the door of Rowena’s ward.

At that moment, Rowena was engrossed in watching television, her eyes brimming with tears. Upon hearing the knock, she assumed the nurse was serving her breakfast and responded idly. “Come in.”

“Didn’t I tell you not to serve breakfast so early?” Rowena pursed her lips disdainfully. “I’ll get hungry before lunch if I eat breakfast too early.”

Cherise had just entered the ward when she heard Rowena’s remarks. “It seems I’m being rude.” An indifferent smile formed on her lips. “Should I have brought breakfast while visiting you, Ms. Rowena?” Her voice was cold and slightly sarcastic.
