Chapter 1955
"Heather, where have you been? I've been looking for you all night," Sophia said the moment she met her daughter. She then noticed the redness on one side of her face which was also swollen and quickly grew alarmed. " What happened to your face?"
Heather could barely express herself as she was fuming with rage.
Being slapped by a third-rate actor like Isabel was the worst humiliation she had ever gone through in her life!
Upon noticing her silence, Sophia turned to Heather's friends, who were crowded behind her, and asked anxiously, 'What happened to her?"
They informed her, "Aunt Sophia, it was Isabel who hit her."
Caprice and Isabel took a detour to another washroom.
By the time they returned to the venue, it was just as rowdy as before, but there were noticeably more people now.
The dinner ceremony had not officially kicked off yet since all of the guests were yet to arrive.
Isabel led Caprice by her arm and stepped into the venue.
Caprice glanced around the venue aimlessly, only to immediately meet Heather’s gaze that was filled with poison. She was standing with another older lady who was casting the same hostile look at her.
She frowned and gently nudged Isabel. "Isabel, Heather is over there glaring at us."
Isabel turned to look in the direction Caprice gestured at and immediately met Heather's gaze. She audaciously cocked an eyebrow in her direction.
This gesture was not going to hurt Heather in any way, but it sure did rub in the message.
Even from this distance, Caprice could make out the explosive rage boiling underneath Heather’s eyes. She looked like she was going to charge over like a raging bull any second.
She did a fine job composing herself, knowing that they were in public and she could not risk such a move.
Caprice was enjoying this. She turned to Isabel. "Isabel, you're so cool."
Heather and her sisters would have had their way with her if not for Isabel insisting on walking her to the washroom.
