Dustin chuckled, a captivating sound escaping from his elegant throat. "Beauty sleep beats any cosmetic procedure. Go home and catch some Z's."

Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Not wanting to show him her less flattering side, she quickly covered her face, planted a swift kiss on his cheek, leaving a lipstick mark, and dashed off.

Once she reached the ground floor, the cool breeze instantly cleared her head. Wait a minute, she came here to patch things up, so why did she let herself be sweet-talked into leaving again?

Touching her face, she pondered. It was the kind of face currently adored in the modeling world, but did she really have dark circles? Maybe another visit to the beauty clinic wouldn’t hurt.

Back inside, Dustin grabbed a tissue to wipe off the lipstick mark from his cheek. Feeling a bit uneasy, he tossed the tissue aside, got up, and poured himself a drink from the cabinet, not quite sure where this sense of unrest was coming from.

Finally, he took out his phone and called King, needing to discuss the matter about the female doctor.

King was in the middle of giving Isaac a bath when the phone rang. Isaac had spent the day exhausting himself at the amusement park and had fallen asleep before he could be bathed. Now that the boy was awake, it was time to get him squeaky clean.

Hearing the ringtone while his hands were wet, he couldn’t pick up the phone and shouted, “Brielle!”

Brielle was just outside, lost in thought while staring at the room. There were no children's toys inside, just a black panther lounging lazily—Isaac's only playmate in lieu of a childhood filled with regular toys. The room was stark and monochrome, nothing like a child's vibrant sanctuary.

Feeling a heaviness in her chest at the thought, she entered upon hearing King’s call. Isaac, naked and sitting in the bathtub with bubbles atop his head, was being gently scrubbed by King, his eyes closed in obedience as he held onto the edge of the tub.
