Down in the car, King had Brielle locked in his arms, kissing her until she was breathless.
Brielle tried to push him away, but it was no use. Soon, she felt his teeth gently grazing her neck, leaving a passionate mark.
“My star student, Little Canary, you make me so happy.”
His eyes sparkled, like a fire had been lit inside him, as if he was a kid who finally got his most coveted toy. His gaze was so straightforward, Brielle knew exactly what 'toy' he meant.
Oddly enough, she felt a pang of guilt.
Understanding his mind, she realized his thoughts were simpler than most.
What he liked, he’d do anything to keep.
What he disliked, he’d do everything to eliminate.
One sentence could light up his eyes; another could bring a rainstorm to his heart.
How could someone be like this?
At that moment, Brielle hesitated, but it hurt her too. Every minute of doubt felt like a betrayal to Max.
Being with King, she even felt like she was seeing another side of Max.
But this man wasn’t Max, and she couldn’t get over that.
In her mind, King’s affection came from Max’s influence; it wasn’t really King who liked her, but Max’s feelings channeled through him.
Yet, she couldn’t say no to that face.
King’s kisses came down again, and the partition in the front had been lowered.
When Brielle finally realized it, she was stunned to find herself in the car, doing such reckless things with him.
“Don’t worry, no one can see through these windows,” he whispered.
He was struggling to hold back, letting her be on top while he held her waist tightly.
Brielle had expected pain, her past experiences casting a shadow.
But this time, she felt something different.
