"Ricardo, you've done a great job."
The professor patted his shoulder, his voice dripping with satisfaction. "As long as you keep following orders, your sister's remains will be taken care of. Don't worry."
A flicker of disgust crossed Ricardo's eyes, but he kept his expression deferential, bowing his head slightly. "Professor, I understand."
The professor let out a cold chuckle, his smug face a mask of fake intellectual superiority. "By the way, do you know where Kenzo is right now?"
He hadn't been able to reach Kenzo; could he really be dead? With North America in chaos due to Irene's return, the royal family seemed to be falling apart. And Kenzo? His son could still be useful, especially if he's tangled up with Irene. Impressive, just like his father.
"I don't know; I haven't been involved in any of King's affairs," Ricardo replied.
The professor snorted. "His good days are numbered. I heard he's quite fond of Brielle. Just threaten him with her, and he'll give up his position without a fight. The old king still has dirt on many nobles. If that video gets out, they'll lose face and rally behind the old king. King wouldn’t dare kill all those nobles; he wouldn’t want to provoke the four major families."
So Fisher wanted money, women, and power. Greed knew no bounds with him.
