The trash bin was overflowing, and Brielle couldn't remember when the plates had shattered inside.
Rubbing her temples, Brielle frowned, "How come I didn't hear the plates breaking?"
King stiffened, his face turning red with embarrassment. "How did you get in here?"
He thought he had securely closed the door. Brielle had planned to clean up, but King caught her hand. "Let someone else take care of it. Don't get your hands dirty."
The staff had been sent home for the night. Premier Palace's main mansion was surrounded by several smaller houses where the staff rested, and they had already been notified to come over.
Brielle didn't argue and let him lead her upstairs. Isaac also returned to his room. Seeing King's eager demeanor, Brielle knew she was in for a long night. He had refrained from touching her the past few days while she rested. Now that she was feeling better, he wasn't going to hold back.
"Little Canary, I got you a gift while you were resting. Let's try it out tonight, okay?"
A sense of dread washed over Brielle, and when she saw him hang a bell around her neck, her cheeks flushed a deep red. "What are you doing?"
But with the bell's melodic sound, she found herself speechless. As she was about to pass out, she heard him grunt, "Little Canary, you sound like a cat."
Exhausted, Brielle tried to push him away, but he held her tight. "I can't let you go."
Unable to argue, she simply fell asleep.
