When Brielle got the message, she'd just finished getting ready for the day. She raised an eyebrow, pondering. By now, the entire internet must be buzzing about her and King. Surely, this Jiang Yu can't be so out of the loop to not know what's up.
Being a celebrity herself, she'd know who I am, right? Oh, Bri, you'd be surprised. No matter who you are, there's always someone who thinks they're charming enough to sweep you off your feet.
Brielle didn't lose any sleep over it, nor did she expect the film crew to roll in so early. After all, it was only 6:30 in the morning.
Downstairs, King was on a roll with his new hobby—cooking steak, a pretty straightforward breakfast. He'd also fried up a couple of eggs, keeping a close eye to make sure everything turned out perfectly. The live stream viewers were cheering him on, though there were a few skeptics.
"Do you guys really buy that a big-shot like him would make breakfast for a woman? Must be all for show."
But most were singing his praises.
"Those lashes, oh wow, and that profile is just flawless."
"Now I see what they mean by a guy being handsome from every angle!"
When Brielle walked down, she was greeted by several unfamiliar faces in the living room, and the camera swung to capture her surprise.
"Ha, did Mr. Haywood not know the crew was coming today?"
"Look at her face; she's definitely caught off guard."
"She's so stunning, even without makeup! Her beauty is off the charts!"
Glancing down at herself, Brielle felt relieved she wasn't in pajamas, at least she was presentable.
Just then, King brought over two plates of steak, calling out, "Brielle, come and eat."
She quickly joined him at the table.
King, with utensils in hand, carefully sliced her steak before sliding the plate over to her. Everything felt so natural, like they were an old married couple, no words needed.
After taking a bite, King, a bit nervous, sat across from her. "How is it? Too tough?"
"Delicious," she smiled, and his face lit up as he nudged a glass of milk her way.
"I heard the others have already left. You got up late; we're probably the last ones to get going."
Brielle, sipping her milk, nearly choked at this news.
King quickly patted her back, teasing, "Take it easy, why the rush?"
"Why didn't you wake me earlier?"
"I figured you were tired from last night," he mumbled, hinting at their late night.
