Mated To The Cruel Prince novel Chapter 157

Chapter 157: Soul Transfusion

Valerie was shocked when the witch discovered his identity because he had not given anything out unless she was psychic.

"How?" He didn’t even know when the words slipped from his mouth. Valerie was careful and had covered his face thoroughly, there was nothing on him to suggest that he was the crown prince.

"The royal emblem on your cloak." She answered.

"What?" Valerie answered knowing that was impossible until he looked down and saw the small, round royal insignia on his left side. Fuck, how had he not noticed that? Although that was still not enough to tag him as the crown prince.

Dorcas continued, "I sensed you were a high Fae from your noble aura. Also, not everyone can buy over Rat Ear easily which means you have a lot of coins to spend. Not to mention, who doesn’t know Prince Valerie? You are highly beloved and to the children in the neighborhood, you are their superhero. So I too needed to know what you look like. And then when I talked about the king, you defended him, not just because you benefited from his reign, but a role you were born into. Try as much as to hide that red hair either, it was a straight giveaway as I put two and two together to figure out who you are. "

"In that case, I guess there’s nothing to hide anymore." Valerie had no choice but to take off the hood, giving the witch a long look.

"Your Highness," Dorcas paid her respect to him, after all, she was in Fae land and wouldn’t want to make an enemy of him. If things went well, she would be able to hide here without any threat with his support.

Snapping her finger, a plush seat befitting his status appeared out of thin air beside him.

"Take a seat, please, your highness."

Valerie sat down graciously, crossing his leg over the other just as the witch sat before him.

"Dorcas at your service. How may I help you, your highness? What do you need from me?" The witch said, eager to serve the prince now knowing payment was not an issue anymore. If anything, she would be the one benefiting from this if everything goes well.

"I need to break a Fae bond. Someone that I know is unfairly bound in service to a Fae."

A cup of steaming tea materialized out of thin air and she offered it to the prince, "Want one?"

"No, thank you." Valerie was in no mood for refreshment.

The witch merely shrugged and sipped from the cup before saying, "Let me guess, the human did not know what she was getting into and made a deal with a Fae?"

"Probably," Valerie sighed deeply, rubbing his brow. Islinda was kind and naive and Aldric must have taken advantage of that.
