Chapter 316: Prospective Mother

Islinda only sipped the tonic while Aurelia was speaking, and stiffened at the Fae’s disgusting words. She lifted her face, looking at the ignorant Fae with eyes darkened with rage.

"What did you just say?" Islinda asked, her voice as cold as ice.

Aurelia saw her hard gaze and realized that she had fucked up. She swallowed, her mouth opening and closing helplessly.

"Why are you not speaking, Aurelia? Did something happen to your tongue?" Islinda taunted her, icy gaze like a spear to the heart.

"I was only trying to point out that having a baby for Prince Aldric is not the best idea," Aurelia finally spoke up, trying to explain herself out of this situation she had brought upon herself.

"I didn’t realize you could speak this nicely or should I remind you that you were eliminating the chances of a damned dark Fae child running around," Islinda said with a saccharine tone that didn’t hide the anger burning inside of her.

Aurelia bowed her head, apologizing immediately, "I’m sorry for my careless words, young miss. It will not happen again."

Islinda stood up and though Aurelia was taller than her, she loomed over the Fae with her intimidating stance.

"Lift your face, Aurelia."

Aurelia did so. Albeit slowly.

"I don’t care about the history between the light Faeries and the dark ones, but next time, be considerate because I might not be so forgiving especially when I’m the damn dark Fae child’s prospective mother."

Right in front of her, Islinda took the tonic, finished what was left of it, and shoved the empty bowl at her,

"Also, I’m the one to decide whether to get pregnant or not, you’re eliminating nothing. I hope we have that part cleared out."

"Yes, Young miss Islinda," Aurelia bowed her head submissively.

"I’ll have the list of ingredients for dinner written down and sent to you. Leave now." Islinda gestured to the door.

"Of course, young miss." Aurelia walked over to the door and held it open. She looked over her shoulder, giving Islinda a long look as if she had something to say, only to step out and close the door behind her.
