"Of course, I do princess," His other hand went around her back and pressed her flush against him. Islinda swallowed because her mouth was dangerously close to touching his and she shifted her attention from his sinful lips only to realize he had been watching her with satisfaction.
"I have the rare ability to seduce you, Princess." He looked as smug as ever.
Islinda ignored the thrill that washed over her, rolling her eyes instead, "Are you kidding me right now,"
She face-palmed mentally. To think she had been excited for nothing. Islinda shook her head and tried to get off him but Eli quickly shouted, "Elemental manipulation!"
"What?" Islinda turned around to face him, confusion written all over her face.
"Only I so far have control over the darkness of the night Court Fae. I can summon or manipulate the shadow element to my advantage." Eli opened up at last.
"Oh," Islinda choked out with a blank look, having no idea what he just said.
But then her attention returned to the swirling shadows entangled in his fingers. Oh, so this was it! However, her eyes grew to the size of the moon when she saw the darkness aggregate and formed a long needle with a point so sharp it gleamed in the light.
Islinda’s hand loosened around his neck as she was dizzied at the sight of the sharp object; she was scared of needles. She swallowed, looking at Eli with hesitation, unsure of his intentions anymore.
"Are you scared, princess?" Eli asked with a low, husky voice, his eyes collided with hers and held.
Islinda searched his eyes with a deep frown, "Is that seriously a question you should be asking me right now? When you’re pointing a sharp-tipped object made of your shadows at my neck? Let’s reverse the situation and then you can give me the answer instead," She sassed.
Eli burst into laughter, "I love your energy," but his expression turned serious the next minute, "Do you trust me?"
Islinda eyed the needle as it drew closer to her neck, saying cautiously, "I trust you, Eli, just not when you’re behaving like Aldric. Tell me this is a joke and you’re merely pulling my leg."
But no answer came from Eli and her anxiety grew. She tried to pull away from him but he grasped her firmly and wouldn’t let go. If this was a test, then it was getting out of hand.
"Eli.....!" She shouted and closed her eyes, her heart racing as she felt the tip of the needle stab into her skin. Aside from a slight pinch, Islinda felt no pain, however, she squeezed her eyes shut until a certain amount of time had passed.
