"I never thought that I would say this but it’s actually nicer riding a carriage than driving the carriage," Maxi sighed wistfully recalling the uncountable number of times she was in her shifter form and had no choice but to be used as a means of transportation by Aldric. Not that she usually complained, it was one of her roles as a horse shifter, but then she was currently mad at her rider, Prince Aldric.
"Don’t worry, I’ll let you ride more often from now," Issac promised her, running his hand through her soft hair and relishing the feeling. Her head was resting on his lap while the rest of her body lay across the seat.
Issac was missing the tunic he had worn earlier, having used it to aid in cleaning the both of them up after the hot session —if you know what he means — and how accurate for Maxi to have secretly come with an extra garment for him. He didn’t dare to accuse her of planning the whole thing, not when he enjoyed himself — and wouldn’t attempt it again.
As much as it had been a thrilling experience, one he would never forget in his lifetime, as Maxi had already claimed a part of him hidden away in the deep recess of his soul, Issac still was not an exhibitionist. He was raised with morals and he knew all of the Fae within that vicinity at that moment knew what was going on in that carriage.
It was a wonder Faeries of Astaria had minded their business on such a busy road and not stopped them for public lewdness. As much as Fae were amorous creatures, there was still a place and time for bad behavior. What if there were children and all they could tune in with their superior hearing was the sound of their moaning?
Issac felt a little embarrassed, but the deed had already been done. Maxi was a bad influence on him and he had to hold the balance before she eroded his training completely; he had to learn to say no.
Maxi lifted her head, peering up at him from that position with mischievous eyes, "Really? Will you let me ride it more often from now on?" She winked at him, her words ambiguous.
"The gods help you, Maxi," Issac groaned in disbelief although his face lit up in a smile afterward.
"Don’t worry, keep your innocence my shy Fae while my twisted mind darkens, that’s how we keep the balance and how much you complement me," Maxi said to him with a smirk.
They both fell into a comfortable silence as the driverless horses trotted on. They didn’t need a coachman, not when the horses magically knew the destination.
"Yes, just like that," Maxi breathed with her eyes closed as he continued to massage her scalp. His head rub was the best and she will demand it more often from now.
"Aren’t you scared?"
Her eyes opened, and her gaze bored right into Issac’s worried ones.
"Worried about what? Your mother? Trust me, I’m the biggest badass in this realm and not afraid of anyone," She boosted confidently.
