Hearing Matthew's praise, pride spread across Mack's face. "Of course! I've had practice, not just with lamb. Back when I was in the mountains, I cooked all sorts—rabbit, wild pheasant, you name it."

Curious about Mack's past, Matthew looked up. "So, what were you doing before all this, Mr. Mack?"
