Liam panicked. “Officer, they are lying! I was beaten up right here at the entrance! They are in cahoots with the guy. They’re lying!”

The police captain waved his hand. “Enough! After we check the footage, we’ll know what happened. But I’m warning you guys; giving false testimony is against the law. You’ll pay if you really did give a false testimony!”

The few security guards nodded at the same time. “Officer, we are telling the truth. We didn’t give false testimony! From how I see it, he’s deliberately trying to frame people!”

No one paid attention to him.

The security guards all worked for Tiger, and Tiger had already given them orders on what to say.

Liam gritted his teeth. “Fine, you guys sure are ballsy! But let me tell you guys that there’s no use lying. We have CCTV cameras all over this place. That there is solid evidence! When we get the evidence, I’ll make sure you guys face the consequences of lying!”

Not long after, the person who went to get the footage returned.

“Did you find anything?” the police chief asked.

That person shook his head. “The CCTV cameras had malfunctioned and didn’t record anything today. They’ve already called for repairs.”

The police chief frowned. “Is this a coincidence?”

Liam was dumbfounded. If he didn’t have the footage and those witnesses didn’t want to help him, how was he going to sue Pete?
