Professor Lei and Ouyang were both lost in their thoughts as they sat quietly on the floor, looking out through the window. At that hour, strong winds and heavy rain were on the way.

"Why do you come here for bacterial experiments?" Professor Lei asked as he idly touched his beard, his demeanor softening.

"Professor Lei, I'm sure you know that the other instructors refused me. They treated me like a ball and kicked me around. I almost gave up. Thank you for taking me in," Ouyang said politely.

'Humph! Everyone was young once!' Professor Lei snorted to himself.
