After watching Vivian leave in another man's car, Hanley kicked the car angrily.
It seems that after meeting Vivian, he easily loses his mind.
Looking at Holden and Vivian's figure, Hanley got into the car with an angry face, tapped the steering wheel, and finally drove the car and chased after them.
Holden did not dare to drive particularly fast, he eyed ahead for a while, and then peeked at the tired Vivian face.
He said with a tentative tone: "Vivian, I'd better take you to the hospital for a little treatment, right?"
Holden just got into the car, fastened the seat belt, he was just about to take out his phone to search for the nearest hospital when Vivian told him that she wanted to go straight home.
Because of her insistence, Holden had to agree, but looking at the red and swollen look of her forehead, he was really uneasy.
"It looks really swollen, it's better to go see a doctor! It's good to have the nurse rub some medicine on it for you."
Holden wanted to beat Hanley to the ground right then and there, but he cared more about Vivian's feelings than that.
Vivian forced a smile, she shook her head, said: "No, a little rubbing at home will be fine, nothing serious, do not worry too much. It just looks serious, but it doesn't really hurt at all."
She tried hard to show that she was really fine, holding on to a smile. Compared to the hurt in her heart, this was really nothing. For Vivian, nothing hurt more than Hanley's words and actions.
Although Vivian wants to hide in a corner and lick her wounds silently, she can't because she doesn't want others to see the wounded her.
So she can only try to keep her smile in front of Holden, try to make her look as if she is really fine.
More so because she didn't want to worry people who didn't matter, and there were things that she might feel better licking her wounds in silence than being comforted by others.
"Sorry, I may not be in much of a mood to go out for a late dinner with you today. I have to trouble you to take me back, when I'm well rested, I'll definitely treat you to a delicious meal."
Vivian looked at Holden somewhat apologetically, she tried to make her look as calm as possible, and pretended to joke about it.
Only Vivian didn't know that Holden actually knew her character a long time ago, and knew even better that she was just pretending now.
But since she wanted to pretend that nothing had happened, Holden would not be foolish to say so.
He said in a more relaxed tone: "We are friends, if you are so strange with me, I will be angry. But I'll make a note of the treat, and I won't let you get away with it."
Holden knew that his words were not going to make Vivian feel better. But there was nothing he could do except to make the atmosphere a little more pleasant.
Vivian smiled and didn't say anything else. She leaned against the window and closed her eyes. It looks like she is tired and resting, but in fact her brain is more awake than ever.
Looking at such a Vivian, Holden felt powerless. Obviously these days their relationship has progressed, but her heart wall is still so high, still blocking him out.
For Vivian's heart, Holden can not do anything, but at least he can do to make her a little more comfortable.
Open the player, Holden clicked on the 'favorite' song list, hoping that listening to these tracks, Vivian's mood can be a little better.
