After 20 Days

It's been twenty days since Sehreyar was shot. In these twenty days, many things have changed in Sehreyar and Meher's life.

Sehreyar was in bed rest for almost 15 days. After getting well he divorced Sajal hearing the whole pregnancy drama and this time his grandma couldn't do anything. Sehreyar's relationship with his grandma has become worse about some matter. Sehreyar has stopped talking with his grandma. Even Haniya couldn't convince Sehreyar to not divorce Sajal and not show any cold shoulder towards their grandma.

Sajal was taken to police custody for trying to kill Meher's son and attacking Meher. And again she was saved by her grandma.

Haniya is totally upset with her brother and didn't utter any words with him. She feels disgusted whenever she remembered whatever he did with Meher. But, she is still in touch with Meher. She always calls Meher and asks for Mehrab as he is her nephew. She cares for Meher and Mehrab a lot. She is also trying her best to free Adeel from jail. She has already talked with the minister who is her father's best friend. She is hoping that Adeel will be freed very soon. She believes that Adeel is punished enough. That's why she is trying to free him.

On the other hand, Meher has returned to Bhopal to her family and started living with them. She didn't share anything with her family whatever happened with her in Mumbai. She doesn't want them to be worried about her.

She has started working as an individual architect under the supervision of Rehaan Al Qureshi. In these twenty days, they have come closer to each other and Meher has started opening up to Rehaan. She understood that it's time to move on from her past. She also understood that Rehaan is a good man who can keep her happy. She was a fool to reject him.

Right now, Meher is in her house with Mehrab alone. Asish has gone to meet one of his relatives with Shruti. Asif has gone to his studio to compose his new album and the maids are in a day off.

It's evening time and Meher is preparing some snacks items for Mehrab and herself. Mehrab is watching cartoons on TV sitting in the living room.

Meher is cooking but her mind is occupied by Sehreyar's thought. She is still in confusion thinking why Sehreyar saved Mehrab. In these twenty days, she might have talked with Rehaan many times but she couldn't forget Sehreyar anyhow. His thoughts always bother her too much.

Meher is lost in her daydreaming when the doorbell rang and Meher came out of her daydreaming.

" Shruti didi and Asish mama(uncle) is here," Mehrab said excitedly and run towards the door to open it.

Meher just chuckled hearing Mehrab's excited baby voice. She said smiling," Silly boy."

After that, she came out of the kitchen and entered the living room. She became frozen in her place seeing the person in front of her. She gulped down her saliva because of nervousness seeing the person.

The person is none other than Sehreyar. He is standing with Mehrab in his one arm. Mehrab is looking like an afraid bunny in Sehreyar's muscular arm. Though Sehreyar isn't scaring Mehrab but still this little boy is looking very frightened. He still remembers Sehreyar's aggressive behaviour towards his mother.

" Mamm, this bad giant will scold me," Mehrab said throwing his hands towards Meher.

" What the hell are you doing here?" Meher snapped at Sehreyar and snatched Mehrab from his arm. She didn't bother to ask him about his bullet wound.

But, Meher became confused seeing Sehreyar. Today Sehreyar isn't scaring Mehrab. He was gently holding him in his arms. Meher noticed some toys, chocolates and candies are on the table indicating Sehreyar has brought all this.

Sehreyar replied softly," Meher, I want to talk to you. I want..........."

" Aren't you satisfied after destroying my life? What's left for talking now? Are you again here to ask me about my kid's father," Meher said angrily but she isn't understanding Sehreyar's gentle behaviour.

Sehreyar sighed and said," Meher, I know that I have committed many wrongdoings towards you. I am sorry for that. Can't we forget the past and start our life freshly? I will love you, respect you and cherish you. Even I am ready to accept your child. Please, give me a chance. I love you, Meher."

After hearing Sehreyar, Meher felt like Sehreyar is joking with her. She can't believe what she has heard?

"Is he serious? Meher thought mentally and rolled her eyes.

" Are you out of your mind, Mr Seikh? Did you just forget that you are already married? Have some shame before saying all this," Meher seethed at Sehreyar.

Sehreyar replied holding her shoulder," I have divorced Sajal. I am single now. I love you Meher. Please give me a chance and forget the past."

Meher freed herself from Sehreyar's hold and said sarcastically," Have you left your brain somewhere else, Mr Seikh?"

Sehreyar tried to say something when Meher said angrily," how easily you told me to forget the past! It's not easy for me to forget all those humiliations, pain and torture you have given to me. How can you demand so easily that I will forgive my rapist? I haven't forgotten that day when you raped me brutally in your office."

Sehreyar just lowered his eyes because of shame. He is feeling very embarrassed remembering that day.

On the other hand, Meher started crying after remembering all those humiliations which Sehreyar has given her. She will never forget all those humiliations.

" Mamma, don't cry. You are a bad giant. Don't scold my mamma," Mehrab said glaring at Sehreyar innocently and wiped his mother's tears. He isn't understanding what are they talking about but he can understand that his mother isn't happy seeing Sehreyar.

Meher requested Sehreyar trailing her fingers on Mehrab's back," Please, Mr Seikh leave me alone. I will never forgive you nor I will give any chance to you. I don't want to be humiliated and threatened by your grandma and you again. I am tired of all this. Just leave me alone."

" Dadi threatened you?" Sehreyar asked angrily and thought mentally," Dadi, you have lost all the respect which you used to have in front of me."

Meher said sarcastically," You are behaving like you don't know anything."

Sehreyar is going to say something when he noticed a ring on Meher's ring finger. The ring is looking expensive as its made of diamond.

It didn't take much time for Sehreyar to understand that it's an engagement ring. Meher is engaged to someone, this thought came inside Sehreyar's head and his eyes become darkened. He clenched his jaw in anger and looked at Meher with full rage.

He held Meher's hand and asked her angrily," You are engaged? Which fucker dare to propose you and you accepted his proposal? How dare you?"

" It's none of your business," Meher said with the same rude voice and jerked off his hand.

Mehrab started crying after hearing Sehreyar's anger-filled voice. Sehreyar is losing his control over anger and feeling like to throw away the ring from Meher's finger.

Meher is trying to console Mehrab when Sehreyar clutched her hairs and asked barking on her face," Tell me who dares to put a ring in your finger? Tell me....."
