Augustine drove a Rolls Royce which was spacious and comfortable. Vivianna opened the door and sat in. She turned her small face to the window and treated the man next to her coldly.
Augustine manoeuvred the steering wheel gracefully while recalling what happened. In fact, he was a little remorseful about he had done to her. However, apologising was not his forte, so he held back.
The tension in the car was unbearable.
Augustine had called the housekeeper ten minutes before he arrived at the Giltstone family's palace. When he was talking on the phone, he slowed down the speed of his car. Finally, he said on the phone, "Okay!" He then hung up the phone right away.
Vivianna turned to look at him with her big clear eyes, "What's wrong?"
"Zeph is exhausted. He had fallen asleep on my grandfather's bed. My grandfather wants him to sleep there tonight."
When Vivianna heard that, she became anxious instantaneously and stated, "No."
Augustine frowned and knew what she was worried about. He frowned and continued, "Just let him accompany my grandfather for a night." "No, I'm going to get him." Vivianna insisted. She didn't want her son to be too close to the Giltstone family.
"Vivianna, don't forget that Zeph is a member of the Giltstone family as well. Sooner or later, he will return to the Giltstone family." Augustine wanted her to understand the truth as soon as possible. That way, she could let go of him more easily in the future.
When Vivianna heard that, she became anxious and cried in anger, "Who said that? He is my son."
Augustine was stunned. Although the light in the carriage was not bright, her tears was as clear as dewdrops. She stared at him with tears in her eyes, "I don't care. I want to see my son. I want to see him right now."
Augustine narrowed his eyes and looked at her for a few seconds. There was a trace of distress in his dark eyes that he did not realise. He sighed softly, picked up the phone called again. It was the housekeeper who picked up the phone, "Hello, Master Giltstone, what's the matter?"
"I'm on the way to pick up Zeph, inform my grandfather." After Augustine had finished speaking, he hung up the phone.
Vivianna's tears were still hanging at the corner of her eyes, there were several drops of crystal tears on her chin. Augustine reached his hand out to touch her chin tenderly and spoke softly, "Why do you cry more than your son?"
That sentence made Vivianna turn her face a little, she didn't want to answer.
"Well, I will go get Zeph. Meanwhile, you should wait in the car." Augustine comforted her. He was afraid of women's tears, especially that woman. Just now, his heart plummeted into a mess.
Vivianna wiped her tears and watched as the car slowly entered into a spacious iron gate. That house was not a high-level building but an old mansion with an ancient fragrance.
Augustine parked the car by the door and stepped down.
Augustine walked into the hall and greeted the housekeeper. He went upstairs and headed straight to the master bedroom. He saw Master Giltstone standing on the edge of the bed looking at the sleeping child. Augustine didn't know what he was thinking. The sofa beside was full of toys for children.
"Grandpa." Augustine came in and greeted him.
Master Giltstone shushed him, "Don't disturb Zeph."
"Grandpa, I came to pick him up. He will cry if he wakes up in the middle of the night and can't find his mother." Augustine whispered.
"I don't think so!" Of course, Master Giltstone was not willing to let his little great-grandson be taken away.
Augustine nodded but lie, "He falls asleep just because he is exhausted now. If he wakes up and doesn't see his mother, he will not stop crying."
Master Giltstone gazed at the dozing little guy and compromised, "All right! Take him back! Please bring him here often in future."
