Chapter 30 Let Me Treat You To Dinner

Silas looked at Gianna and said, “Alright. Then tonight it is. I‘d like to treat Doctor Aubrey to dinner to thank her properly.”

However, Gianna hurriedly replied, “You‘re most welcome, but you don‘t have to. I‘m fine, really.”

Silas then added, “I‘m not joking with you. I really want to treat you to dinner, and I can treat Landon, who‘s visiting from afar, too.”

Gianna still refused his offer. “It‘s fine. Both of you can go ahead.”

Suddenly, Landon stood up and urged, “Don‘t be such a wet blanket. Can‘t you welcome me with dinner since I‘m visiting from afar? Silas even promised to bring me to the Ruby Palace tonight!”

“I‘ll treat you to dinner another day!” Gianna replied.

Old Man Nolan also joined in and added, “Gianna, I really like your son. Can you let your son accompany me to chat for a while more?”

Gianna was slightly stunned. Before she could answer his question, her son swiftly replied, “That sounds nice. I‘d love to play with Great–grandpa too!” Nonetheless, Gianna still frowned and commanded, “Stop fooling around, South. Grandpa needs to

rest.

“But mommy, didn‘t you ask Great–grandpa to stay positive? I can accompany Great–grandpa to have a chat.“.

South then nudged his mother. “You should hurry up and go. I want to play chess with Great–grandpa. You and Uncle Silas can come and pick me up later!”

Upon saying this, South winked at his mother playfully.

Gianna knew that he probably wanted to set her up with Silas, but she was still worried about South.

However, Ruby Palace was a crowded and chaotic place, so she could not bring South along too.

After much thought, Gianna remained her stance and refused their offer. “Why don‘t we meet another

day?”

Are you worried about your son, or are you worried about me?” Silas asked.

Everyone greeted Silas warmly, and by the looks of it, they were quite close with each other.
