Izabella asked Starry for wine not because she wanted it. She wanted Starry to drink with her.
Izabella was not a good drinker, but for Starry, she would do whatever.
And nothing bad would happen even if they were drunk in Starry's villa.
After dinner, Izabella tried to help Starry untie the knots in her heart. She poured two glasses of wine and dragged Starry to the sofa, intending to say something unhappy about herself first to make Starry speak.
Yet unexpectedly, she got sad and kept drinking.
Izabella forgot her purpose. After two glasses of red wine, she got a little drunk. She hugged Starry and began to cry. "Starry, it was the first time I liked someone. However, he went to an old woman for 100 thousand dollars."
Starry took a tissue and gently wipe her tears. "It's okay, you know what kind of person he was at least."
"But I really like him!"
"You'll meet someone you like better."
It had been a thorn in Izabella's heart for a long time. Her father's company had a project with her collage, so she stayed low-key.
She looked like a student from an ordinary family in Araria City. No one realized that her father was the boss of Hallowflame Entertainment.
Izabella didn't want to be treated specially because of her family, so even when Dillon was invited to visit their school, she pretended that she didn't know him.
100 thousand dollars was not a very large amount of money.
She didn't expect that the boy she liked would actually accompany an old woman in her sixties for 100 thousand dollars. When she saw him take the card from the woman's hand, she went numb.
After so many years, Izabella still had nightmares of it occasionally.
But she didn't talk about it with anyone. She didn't want to be laughed at. And she couldn't accept that the boy she liked for the first time was such a terrible person.
Today for Starry, she opened her heart.
At first, she was just trying to get Starry to talk. However, she lost control of her emotions.
Now the more she thought about it, the more uncomfortable she became. Starry's sweet comfort made her feel a little warm. She cried while recalling the matter.
Starry listened patiently, occasionally responding with a sentence or two.
Izabella just talked for more than three hours and had three glasses of red wine, which made her drunk. She murmured while holding Starry. "Starry, you're so pretty."
Starry was amused. "Thank you, Izabella, you are beautiful too."
She managed to send Izabella to the guest room upstairs. As soon as Izabella touched the bed, she couldn't get up. "It's so comfortable!"
Starry helped her undress and put the blanket on her. Then, she went out to clean up the mess.
Izabella cried as she reminisced, tissues were everywhere on the coffee table and on the carpet.
Starry smiled, packed up the tissues, and closed the window. Before going back to her room, she checked on Izabella again.
Izabella had fallen asleep with her head under the blanket, probably for the coldness.
Starry closed the door gently and went back to her room.
At three o'clock in the morning, Izabella woke up from thirst. She got up from bed in a daze and went downstairs to drink water.
She was so thirsty that she drank a lot.
After having two cups of water, Izabella felt less sleepy.
Araria City was cold in April. Izabella ran downstairs in a hurry, without taking her coat. Now after standing there for a few minutes, she felt frozen.
Izabella sniffled, turned, and ran upstairs.
In the darkness, the light coming out of the room was very eye-catching.
