The two had just stepped into the compound of the George residence when a tall white figure ran from the room and stopped in front of the two in few steps.

"Brother! You're finally here!"

Riley Watson's eyes suddenly widened. This…young man in a white tailcoat with meticulously groomed hair was actually the punk who asked for directions during the day!

Hendrix George and Euan George's looks were not much similar. The temperament was completely different, Euan had a cold characteristic in him while Hendrix was naturally warm and cheerful, and people felt that he was friendly.

With the small episode during the day, Riley and Hendrix both smiled unspokenly.

"Hello, sister-in-law! I long heard that sister-in-law is a beauty, and today we finally met. However, sister-in-law is even more beautiful than what I heard. Brother, you are fortunate!"

Riley smiled, and before she could say anything, Euan said with a stern face, "You are inquiring about news instead of focusing on your study abroad?"

Hendrix scratched his head and pretended to be ignorant, "Study is certainly important, but I'm also concern about Brother's marriage."

Euan glanced at him, then handed him a handbag that the driver had just handed over, "Your sister-in-law gave you a gift for the first meeting."

Riley tilted her head to look at Euan's side face, trying to find clues from his face. However, all of his expression changes seemed to be directed at Hendrix alone, and not taking her into account at all.

"Thank you, sister-in-law! The gift chosen by sister-in-law; I definitely like it!"

Riley smiled graciously, "It's not something good either, just as long as you like it."

Euan's expression slightly turned serious.

"Father and mother are waiting inside. Brother and sister-in-law, let's get in!"

Euan did not say a word, took a step, and walked inside. Hendrix's eyes drifted inadvertently to Riley and thought of something, then shook his head again to deny himself.

"Let us in. What are you standing still for?" As he stepped onto the steps, Euan coldly and solemnly said to Hendrix, who was still standing in place behind him.

"I'm coming. I was just admiring the night scenery!" Hendrix took two steps to catch up with him.

Riley was confused. The two brothers have not seen each other for five years. Shouldn't they first exchange greetings and say something like "you grew taller and became handsome"?

But if these words came out from the mouth of the Euan, how horrible it would be.

The three of them entered in order. When they were changing their slippers in the foyer, Riley had to unclip the crystal buckle of her high heels, and the bag in her hand was in the way. She was about to put it on the shoe cabinet when two hands reached over at the same time.

Hendrix lowered his voice and laughed, "Sister-in-law, Brother is very considerate to you."

Hendrix added, "Sister-in-law, don't look at my Brother as he was cold and domineering. He is a standard gentleman when he is being gentle."

Riley glimpsed at the tall figure of Euan, and smiled coldly. Was Euan ever gentle? Knock it off.

The vintage crystal chandelier that hung over the large living room was brightly lit, and the ancient red sofa was empty. Jakub George was holding scissors to trim an orchid on the antique shelf.

"Dad."

"Dad."

Both husband and wife greeted in unison. Jakub didn't even raise his head and continued to fiddle with the slender leaves of the orchid, "You're back. Go sit in the living room."

"Yes."

"Yes…"

The quiet living room had a smell that could suffocate people.

Hendrix snatched the scissors from Jakub's hand. He was acting cutesy while also seriously smiled and said, "Dad, I've come back after a long time, and you only looked at the flowers and not me. I'm heartbroken."

Jakub's intense eyes swept his son's face, "You have grown up. Learn something good instead of learning how to act cutesy."

"Because you are my dad. Of course, I will act cutesy in front of you. Come, dad, let's sit together."

Hendrix's series of actions shocked Riley. Damn, Hendrix was bold enough. He actually dared to do these in front of Jakub?

The strange thing was, Jakub actually did not lose his temper?

In her memory, Jakub never smiled, and his face was tensed all day. His expression could simply be copied and pasted.
