Mr George, Don't Be So Arrogant novel Chapter 92

He never wasted a chance to flirt with her. Riley felt it was too much for to digest. From then on, she may hate to eat fish for a long time.

She had no idea whether it was his flirtatious words or her crazy thought play the part, because she felt she was crushed by his tease.

After dinner, she washed the dishes in the kitchen.

When she came out of the kitchen, she found that Euna sitting on the sofa and reading something. It was not the files she brought from the hospital but an old book on the shelf.

She leaned against the kitchen door, staring at his profile. He comfortably lay back on the sofa, with his long legs crossed. He was just flipping the book, but he looked like a noble and regal aristocrat of England.

His nobility lingered among the pages touched by his slender fingers.

He was addictive, like poisonous poppies.

“You like to pee at others, don’t you?”

He didn’t raise his head, but the certainty in his tone made her have no way to argue for herself.

“When did I pee at you?” she grab a towel in a rush to dry her hands.

“Well, you didn’t pee, like you said, but you also didn’t do it in a honest and direct way. Come over.” He flipped the page between his long fingers.

His invitation always sounded so natural. If she refused, she would be the one that had problem.

She moved slowly to the small sofa, of which he took up two-third, but one-third was enough for her.

She thought for a second and chose to sit down, with a distance of only two or three centimeters between them. She could easily touch his arm or leg as long as she moved. Incidental touches heated them and the ambiguous atmosphere was fermenting in the air.

Riley frowned and complained in her mind, “What? Why gave me materials of patients in the department of cerebral surgery? And there are several patients who don’t need surgery sent to the cardiac surgery department.”

“Patter!” Riley got irritated and forgot the man beside her, throwing the files on the floor……

The room was silent for a second.

Euan asked her carelessly, “What’s wrong?”

Her mouth unnaturally twitched, “Something about my work.”

He glanced at the materials in her hands, “it is an obvious mistake that patients are assigned to the wrong departments. It deserves you make a fuss about it.”

How did he know?

“Don’t be surprised. I’ve read the materials when you were cooking.”

She was pissed off and said nothing.

Euan raised his eyes slowly, mysterious, profound and wise, “Pour me a glass of water.”

Didn’t she notice that she was furious? Pour him water? Think about it in the dream!

Riley did do it, but she only fetched only one glass of water and she drank it, then she put it in front of her, “Do it yourself.”

Euan continued reading the book, and she came back to the files. He held the book with one hand and stretched the other hand to the back of the sofa where she sat, with his fingers separated in a natural way and his arm bent slightly, as if embracing her in the arm.

After a while, he withdrew his hand to turn the page, but every time he would touch her hair and ears sometimes.

Every close touch heated the ambiguous atmosphere. There were fragrances floating in the air, consisting of his mescal and her gardenia.

Against the warm beans of the floor lamp, Riley can saw his profile inadvertently. His head was bent slightly, and his hair covered half of his forehead, leaving a shade on his face, which made her contours look more profound.

As she was staring at him, Euan reached his hand casually in front of her to get the water. When his lips touched the edge of the glass, he still fixed his eyes on the book and drank it. The place his lips touched was exactly the place she touched when she drank water.

His white and slender fingers matched the glass well, looking like a gorgeous art work.

“I drank it.”

So it was an indirect……kiss.

He didn’t make response and still held the glass beside his lips, as if going to have another sip.

“I’ve used it. I mean mouth touched it. It’s unhygienic to share the glass.”

Euan was obsessional about cleanliness. She attempted to provoke him by saying these, and she was waiting for his response.

“Uh-huh.” He didn’t move his sight away from the book and responded simply. He didn’t care about it at all.

Now it was Riley herself that felt confused!

He admitted it was unhygienic but he didn’t care?!

How can he make such a careless response? It was so disrespectful!

“Actually, it’s fine, we just touched the same place with lips, but we didn’t eat the glass, right?”

Damn! What was she explaining?!

“And I didn’t put on lipstick, so the glass is clean.”

She added more to the explanation. What was wrong with her brain?

Euan finally shift his sight away from the book and stared at her with a meaningful look. He drank it again, with his lips staying at the same place. With a sense of evilness flashed in his eyes, he said, “So?”

So?

She had given her explanation. Was there anything more she could do?

Wait a minute. She emphasized her mouth was clean and she didn’t put on lipstick just now, but it sounded that she was claiming kisses from him.

“So……there is no need to rush. You can feel free to have more if you drink it over.” She made an excuse and continued to focus on the files.

As she was dealing with the files, the doorbell suddenly rang.

Who could it be at such a late hour?

Euan and Riley looked at each other for a moment.

Riley felt confused. She wondered, what day was today? Water and electricity fee? Or rental and property management fee?
