The Shaw family began treating Sophia coldly after finding out what had happened to Hylda. Two days later, Ethan stopped her and said, “The company recruited a lot of new people, and we’re a little tight on money right now. I want to withdraw the eight million dollars.”

Sophia got a little irritated. “You insisted on investing the eight million previously, and now you want to withdraw it right away just because my mom is in trouble? Ethan, what do you think you’re doing?”

Ethan was straightforward. “The situation is different now. Sophia, your mom is involved in a murder case. Do you think my family would want me to marry the daughter of a murderer?”
