Rebecca looked at him.
"Good night, Miss Smith!"
"Good night."
The next day was the last day of Rebecca being Carlos' translator. Rebecca returned the bracelet to Carlos.
Carlos looked at the jewelry bo and frowned. Obviously, he felt upset.
"Mr. Scott, shall we make a deal?" Rebecca was worried that Carlos would throw the bracelet away, so she came up with an idea.
Carlos looked at her in confusion. "Tell me."
"Could you give me this bracelet when next time we meet and I have the chance to help you again?" Rebecca said to Carlos in neither humble nor pushy way. She showed her respect to Carlos.
Carlos smiled.
Rebecca was the only one who could thoughtfully refuse someone else's gift.
"Okay, then I'll keep it for you."
"Thank you."
The day's work ended smoothly. In the evening, Rebecca and Adam had dinner with Carlos.
They were at a luxurious and quiet restaurant, and the atmosphere was not awkward at all. Carlos acted gentlemanly as an elder. He had been watching Adam, who was desperately trying to show off his love to Rebecca, with a smile. He said nothing about the relationship between Rebecca and Adam nor mentioned the Williams family and the Scott family. They were talking about business.
