Chapter 862 Smearing

"Yes! My daughter is waiting for me!" Harley retorted, buttoning up his shirt and throwing on his slouchy jacket. Ignoring his mother's presence, he changed his clothes and took the key before going out. He asked Carlee to go out and then he locked his apartment.

"Stop right there and listen to me!" Carlee growled.

But Harley was out the door, and Carlee angrily ran after him to stop him. The two walked in a hurry; one in a hurry to catch up to her son, the other picking up the pace to avoid her and get to the elevator. When Harley stopped, Carlee wasted no time in unleashing her tongue.

"Do you know that bone marrow can't be donated indiscriminately because it has a great impact on the body? So you are not afraid of falling ill and causing trouble to your health in the future?"

Carlee counted on Harley to live up to old age and to attain that, it was very important to have sound health from a young age. Harley stared at the digital panel on the wall and replied coldly, “It doesn't matter, my daughter is my life!”

Hearing Harley's resolute tone, Carlee's rage grew into pity. She slapped Harley on the back before scolding him. "The child can be reborn after it's gone. Do you have to risk your own body?”

Listening to her mother’s seemingly painstaking persuasion, Harley smiled. He didn't understand why his mother would ignore the life and death of her granddaughter since she was so concerned about her health. Is it because the child was a granddaughter?

Harley was reluctant to think deeply, only knowing that no one could stop him.

"What is a life without a kid?" Harley asked calmly. Just then the elevator door opened, and he made his decision known to Carlee before stepping inside. "Don't question my decision about donating bone marrow anymore. I can give my life for my daughter!"

Carlee frowned and froze. The elevator door slowly closed on her face, and Harley rushed to the hospital without hesitation. It took a while before Carlee came back to her senses and found that Harley had long since disappeared.

"That boy!" Carlee yelled, slapping her thigh angrily. "How the hell did I lose track of reality?”

Carlee waited to take the elevator on the other side to go downstairs, and when she got down looked around but could not find Harley. But she knew there was a high chance that Harley was going to the hospital, and was determined to chase him all the way to stop him.

However, Carlee had just left the gate of the city centre when she saw a few sneaky men and women staring at her. Carlee was boiling with rage, and whenever she was upset, she preferred venting her anger by being rude to other people. "What are you looking at? Are there no elders in your family?”

Carlee snorted and got in the car. At this time, the men and women who were looking at her came together and surrounded her car.

"Mrs. Timothy, are you the mother of Harley?”

The question made Carlee roll her eyes as she realized that they were entertainment reporters.

"Are you journalists?” she asked hesitantly.

The entertainment reporters nodded in unison and asked several questions about Harley. At the moment, Carlee was worried that she couldn't think of a way to put pressure on Harley to revoke his decision. But she saw an opportunity with the reporters and she agreed to grant them an interview.

Carlee knew the entertainment industry always put great emphasis on the matter of reputation. She wanted to use these paparazzi, one to make Harley change his mind, and the other to make Nina stop hooking up with him. After clearing her throat, Carlee began.
