"Come on, if so, do you think that they will get on a crowded bus instead of their cozy limousines? Can you believe that?" Verena then continued to mock, "What a childish girl!"

When hearing that, those girls hesitated. Of course, her words sounded quite reasonable. Those celebrities would never take a crowded bus.

Seeing that they hesitated, Verena continued, "Let me tell you. Both of my brothers are a bit insane. Now I am taking them to the hospital. If you take pictures then and you get them agitated, I will definitely sue all of you!"

"Ma'am, are you serious?"

"Of course, look at my little brother…" While speaking, Verena kicked Cole hard, who was hiding himself under the seat.

"He is so afraid that he even covers his own face with my coat. If you scare him, don't blame me for not noticing you earlier!"

'What? Insane?' When hearing that, Cole was so mad that he really wanted to strangle her alive. However, he had to put up with it for the time being.

'Just wait and see!' Cole was pissed off.

Those girls looked at each other and then huffed, "Huh, two idiots? I don't think we should take the pictures."

'Two idiots?' when hearing that, Verena couldn't help snickering. But she still held it back.

Cole was irritated upon hearing that.

Meanwhile, Lemuel still remained silent. When he fixed his eyes on Verena, he said, "It sounds hilarious?"

Verena gave a shiver and refuted with her back on him, "No!"

"But your shoulders kept shaking." Lemuel squinted at her. He seemed to have seen her through.

Suddenly, she was frightened, "That's because…I have a stomachache."

"Do you deem your stammering words credible?"

"I…I didn't stammer…" Verena said sincerely, "I…feel…pain…down my stomach."

Suddenly, he changed the topic, "Why are you sitting on my lap?"

She hurried to reply, "I am here to protect you!"

Lemuel seemed to be a bit surprised. But he still remained silent and looked mocking.

She was the first one who ever claimed to protect him. However, as proud as he was, he would never allow to be protected. Not to mention that the one who protected him was a woman.

His heart was overwhelmed by the feelings of disdain and disgust. He was getting more and more annoyed.

Verena couldn't help swallowing and tried to stand up.

However, Lemuel pressed on her shoulder with his big hands. Then he said coldly, "You said you were protecting me, right? Since then, just protect me till we reach the destination. I hate those who give up halfway!"

In order to keep Lemuel's face unnoticed, she almost leaned herself onto his chest while her hairs were clinging to his face.

He could smell the fresh and light fragrance of her hairs, which seemed to dissipate a bit of his burning annoyance. And he even felt a bit sleepy.

As her hairs happened to fan around his face softly, he gradually closed his eyes.

As expected, the bus fell into silence again. Those girls didn't keep yelling to take pictures. But they still looked at them from time to time.

However, Verena felt quite uneasy as if she got fleas on her body all over.

She could even feel that Lemuel's face was clinging to her back. They were getting so close to each other that her heart couldn't help beating fiercely. She wanted to struggle to nudge a bit. However, Lemuel grabbed her waist hard.
