Harmony wasn’t the kind of person who wouldn’t communicate after an obvious. misunderstanding had happened. She would talk if she had to in order to nip those things in the bud.
Ezekiel took her to the buffet hall. It was classy and resplendent, and Harmony’s eyes shone with anticipation. This buffet is going to cost at least a few hundred dollars anywhere else. All real and expensive food here. I gotta enjoy them. Can’t waste this chance. Harmony took a plate. Ezekiel followed her. Unfortunately, she couldn’t let loose and take everything she wanted due to her occupation. Still, she did her best and took whatever she wanted to eat.
Harmony took a seat beside the floor-to-ceiling window. She enjoyed the view as she ate. Ah, happiness. She wasn’t someone who required expensive designer bags to be happy. All she needed was a nice meal. It’s a good thing Sera stopped me from eating at the restaurant. I can eat more here.
Ezekiel looked at her. He saw how her eyes shone at the sight of good food. She felt real and down-to-earth. She wasn’t putting on a pretense like all those women he had met in his life.
Harmony raised her head. When she noticed how little food Ezekiel had taken, she went red. “You don’t eat a lot, do you, Mr. Weiss?”
Ezekiel explained, “I had dinner before I came.”
Harmony nodded. She kept eating while Ezekiel leaned languidly on the back of his chair. He would pop a piece of his food into his mouth from time to time as he watched Harmony.
Every time Harmony had a taste of something she never had before, her eyes would glimmer with joy. Ezekiel saw everything. It felt like he was seeing an innocent girl tasting good stuff.
After the enjoyable meal, Harmony sang her praises, “It was worth it coming here.”
Ezekiel chuckled in amusement.
Harmony looked at him, a little awkward. “Sorry, that was embarrassing.”
“No. I quite like your real self. It’s cute.” Ezekiel looked at Harmony, smiling. “I like being in the company of people who are true to themselves.”
Harmony bit her lip. “Can I take some more food, then?”
“I am your connection and resource,” said Ezekiel.
Harmony smiled wryly. “I’ve troubled you enough. I can’t ask you to give me any more resources. Besides, I don’t have anything to repay you with.”
“I’m serious, Miss Mayo. I want to help you stand on the international stage. Say the word, and I’ll do it,” said Ezekiel solemnly. His company was progressing fine. So, he could afford to spend some time supporting a soon- to-be world-famous star.
Harmony’s mind was blown. She could feel that Ezekiel wasn’t lying. “Are you serious, Mr. Weiss?” Harmony couldn’t believe it. Will he help me unconditionally?
“Yes.” Ezekiel nodded.
Harmony pursed her lips. Her mind was filled with white noise as she tried to make sense of what was going on. Then, she asked quietly, “How should I repay you? Do you want me to date you or something?”
