My Beloved Has Risen from Death's Embrace novel Chapter 337

"Mom, wake up, please wake up!"

"Don't let anything happen to you, please."

In the hospital room, Xanthea clutched Susanna's hand tightly, her eyes brimming with tears, sobbing uncontrollably.

She remembered in her past life, her mother had fainted upon hearing the news of her death and never woke up again.

Her elder brother had searched all over the country for renowned doctors, but no matter how famous the doctor or advanced the technology, they couldn't diagnose her condition or wake her up. She remained like a living dead.

She thought that by changing the outcome in this life, everything would be different, but...

The guests at the Iris Garden Venue had all been sent away, leaving only the closest members of the Nightshade family anxiously pacing the hallway.

"She'll be alright; Susanna will be alright."

"It's all Matthew and Miranda's fault, those scoundrels. They made my sister-in-law faint from anger. We can't let them off!"

"She has always attached great importance on relationships. Seeing her adopted daughter commit such a disgraceful thing must have broken her heart."

Orion stood outside the hospital room, looking through the glass at the tearful girl inside, his dark brows knitted with concern.

After completing his check-up, Alex put away his instruments and reassured Xanthea, “Ms. Nightshade, there’s no need to worry too much. Madam has only fainted temporarily due to excessive grief.”

"Temporary fainting? When will she wake up?"

"Soonest by tonight, latest by tomorrow."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"That's good to hear."

Xanthea pressed her small face against her mother's hand, all the chaotic thoughts in her mind dissipating.

The door to the hospital room opened, and the family and friends in the hallway immediately crowded around.

"Alex, how's my sister?"

"Is Susanna feeling any better?"

"Everyone, please rest assured. Madam fainted due to acute emotional distress, which caused a temporary lack of oxygen to her brain. She just needs some rest and she'll wake up very soon."

"Really?"

"That's such a relief; I was afraid."

Just as everyone was about to go in and see her, Alex stopped them.

"Madam is very fragile right now and needs to rest quietly. Please don't disturb her, or any noise might upset her again. Ms. Nightshade can take care of her alone inside."

"Alright, alright!"

Everyone sighed in relief, finally feeling at ease.

Oliver noticed standing outside the hospital room, staring intently at the girl inside, his brows knit with worry. He couldn't help but walk over.

"Mr. Lockwood, there's no need to worry too much. As long as my sister is alright, Xan won't be sad."

"Orion?"
