My Beloved Has Risen from Death's Embrace novel Chapter 375

"It's nothing." Xanthea glanced at a basket of fresh produce, "Are these picked from the orchard behind the mountain?"

"Yeah, do you want to go there?"

"I do, but, you know, circumstances won't allow."

It was all his fault; her legs were still sore!

Orion leaned in, his hands bracing against the couch on either side of her, his voice smooth and enticing, "If you wanna go, I would carry you."

Xanthea blushed at his sudden gentle yet commanding gesture, feeling like he was up to no good.

"No need. It would be embarrassing if someone saw us. Let's just stay in and watch a movie."

"How about the home theater then?"

Why the home theater? It's all dark in there, and what if, in the middle of the movie, he suddenly changed the movie and got all beastly.

Xanthea shook her head defensively, "No, no, let's stay here."

"Alright."

Orion went to pick a movie for her while she continued to look at her phone.

"Orion, I initially entered the entertainment industry to win a bet with Isabella over getting those scandalous photos of Matthew and Miranda. Now that it's over, should I continue?"

"Do you like it?"

"Well. I didn't feel much about it before, but now I find it quite interesting. Especially acting, living out someone else's life lets me gain a lot."

For example, the character Phoenix. Her resilience, her bravery, and her relentless pursuit had deeply resonated with Xanthea, making her reflect on family, love, friendship, and revenge.

Orion said, "Then continue. Whatever Xannie likes, I'll be there to support."

Oh?
