"Are you serious? This was your plan?" I yell at my mentally ill best friend. Spencer looks at me as we run towards the woods. My chest is heaving up and done and I feel like I'm going to die. "I have a plan. Just trust me." Spencer reinforces. I look back at where the two buff looking guys are running after us, and trip. "Shit." I mutter under my breath and get up. I race over at Spencer who doesn't even break a sweat. I guess werewolf abilities are way more beneficial than I thought. "Why are we stopping?" I ask Spencer. In the past few minutes we have out run the men but now they are getting closer and my anxiety is rising higher and higher. "We were too close to human civilization for me to fight there. But now, their out here and I'm going to rip them to shreds. " The men have caught up with us now. "We have you now. Give us the girl and we'll leave in peace." One of the men speak as the other one has a smug smile on his face. Spencer throws her head back, as if thinking. "Hmmm... let me think about it... nah." She yells sarcastically and then shifts into the most beautiful wolf I've ever seen. Her clothes get ripped off but her wolf is so amazing. She's black and sleek with blue eyes that have darkened as she glares at the two men. The men also shift and I internally cower at their size. They both circle Spencer, going in different directions, trying to intimidate her. But Spencer doesn't hold back. She bares her teeth, and charge after one of the men and I see her take off a chunk of flesh. I shiver and look away. One of the wolves bite at Spencer, who shifts the attempted blows as graceful as a dancer. One of them come towards me and I take a step back, trying to figure out what to do to protect myself. The wolf has a smirk on his ugly face and I look around for something to hit the damn bastard with. My eyes land on a long branch, and I slowly pick it up. The wolf charges at me and I wack him with the branch. He drops back wards and staggers, as if seeing stars. He gets up again and my eyes widen in fright. 'The branch won't be enough to knock him out.' I think. So this is how it ends. In a blink, a person runs up to the wolf and turns his neck the other direction, and his neck breaks with a crack. "Are you okay?" Liam asks in a worrying tone but I look at him confusedly. Instead of answering his question and asking how he got here, I ask, "how did you do that?" Liam turns away after studying me carefully after seeing I was alright. "We werewolves have advanced strength. It's not that complicated." He tells me. "So why don't you just shift in your wolf?" I question. Liam turns around to face me and I realise that his eyes are blazing. "My wolf is dangerous to everyone he comes across. Sometimes even I can't control him, so I don't risk hurting the people I love." Liam says and the words fall on my ears with a deep meaning. Spencer reappears and I look around Liam's body to see two men as naked as the day they were born, dead. "Emerald. Carter will arrive to pick you up shortly. You are to go to nowhere but the pack house. Do you understand?" I nod and watch as Liam and Spencer walk away, leaving me all alone.
