My dear lawyer novel Chapter 362

Daisy was holding Roe’s hands. She did not know why she liked this cute kid so much since the first sight of him. Roe followed her, like a small tail.

“What do you want to eat? My treat!”

Daisy said with smile while she was sitting with Roe in front of a table.

Blinking his eyes and thinking for a long time, Roe said shyly, “Can I have a piece of cake?”

Because of Roe’s heart problem, the doctor never permitted Roe to eat sweet food, afraid that it would burden his heart. But Roe was just a child; he had no resistance to sweet food.

Daisy did not know that Roe had heart problem, she slapped her fingers, and said with smile, “OK. I will buy desserts for you.”

Roe slapped his hands with a huge smile on his face. He was thinking that maybe he could sneak out again in the dinner time, when his parents were eating outside. He just did not know whether he could meet this beautiful girl or not.

Daisy must be in the dark about what Roe was thinking about. As a girl, she had no resistance to sweet food, too. So she ordered the dessert very soon. She looked at Roe, her hands under her jaw, and she felt that Roe was really cute after seeing him as happy as a lark.

Feeling Daisy’s eyesight on him, Roe lowered his head shyly, and said in a low voice, “Sister, do not look at me this way. I am feeling embarrassed. I am just a child.”

Daisy was shocked, having no idea why this kid’s thoughts were so mature. She became even more interested in Roe.

Roe smiled with blinking eyes. This was a joke he played with this beautiful sister he just got to know. He was William’s son. He knew how to make girls happy. He inherited it from his father.

Seeing Roe’s eyes, Daisy couldn’t help thinking, “This kid is so young, but his is so thoughtful. As an adult, she was almost fooled by him to think that he is just too mature.”

“What’s the matter with you? You have to stay in hospital. Is it a very serious disease? ” asked Daisy after a sipping of the juice. Seeing that Roe was wearing a hospital uniform, Daisy was becoming just more interested in him.

Roe blinked his eyes, and said seriously, “The doctor said my heart has some problem, and I need to do a heart transplant surgery. But I have not done it, so I felt very fearful every day.”

Roe’s adult-like tone stunned Daisy. Although she was not a doctor, she knew some common sense about heart transplant. It was usually the congenital heart disease that needed to transplant a heart. She knew how serious that disease was.

It did not occur to her that such a cute child should have such a serious disease. A feeling of empathy arose in Daisy’s heart. She sighed silently, and the atmosphere became more imposing.

Noticing that Daisy stopped speaking, Roe comforted her with his eyes blinking, “Do not be so sad. I am fine now. And I am gonna be OK. My mom often tells me that I should be a tough boy.”

Daisy lifted her hands subconsciously, touching Roe’s forehead lovingly. She felt more sympathetic with Roe’s mother. She knew that any mother would be delighted at having such a son. It was a pity that he got such a disease.
