My dear lawyer novel Chapter 406

Before William could say anything, Selina shouted, “Our version of the story? Let’ cut the crap here. Now that you consider what we are saying is just our version of the story, let’s go and watch the videotape. Then we would know whose version is true. Angie, you wouldn’t admit you are lying until we watch the videotape, would you? Everyone would know you were lying a few minutes later. Let me remind you I gave you chance to admit what you did.

Angie looked terrified. She looked at William with tears, and also expectation and suffering from injustice.

William squinted and said to Angie in a low voice, “Follow me.”

Angie seemed to be surprised by William’s decision, and her eyes suddenly brightened.

Was she in a different situation now?

William still loved her.

Following William, Angie happily glanced at Vivian and Selina who was stamping on the ground. There was disdain in Angie’s eyes.

“Bang”, the door was closed, and Vivian suffered a heartache for what William did.

“What the heck is William doing? How could he still favor that bitch in situation like this? What an asshole! I praised him for finally making the good decision just a moment ago. Why would I say that?”

Selina said so and kicked the sofa hard with her high-heel. Her pointed heel sank into the sofa. Selina kicked so hard that the sofa was into a U shape for a long time.

Vivian’s face darkened and raised the corners of her mouth to make a fake smile, “Isn’t this normal? I already got used to this.”

Vivian already got used to William’s consideration for Angie, but her heart would still ache.

“Vivian…” Selina was worried about Vivian. She looked at her and wanted to comfort her but didn’t know how.

Vivian took a deep breath and said, “I know what you want to say. There is no need to worry about me. I am okay. I am already over William. I am just worried about Roe.”

It seemed that she couldn’t let Roe live with William.

Although William assured her that he would take good care of Roe and arrange doctor for Roe’s cardiac illness. But she couldn’t take risks.

She couldn’t even take 0.0001% risk with regard to her son.

Whether William could keep his promise was still unknown.

If there was 0.0001% of chances that William would break his promise, Roe could be dead.

Selina nodded seriously and said, “I know. Vivi, whatever you want to do, I will support you. You don’t need to think much about such things. We are best friends.”

Looking at Selina’s supportive eyes, Vivian almost burst into tears.

In order to protect her ego, she made a deal with William for Roe’s huge medical expense, but she forgot her doing so would make her loved one feel sad for her.

Holding Selina’s hands, Vivian smiled with tears and said, “Thank you, Selina.”

They looked at each other and smiled at each other with encouragement.
