As expected, William did not care about his Auntie being poisoned. But on his first day back, he heard from Vivian that Angie had been sent away.
An hour before being sent away, she planned to escape. In the end, she was caught, the baby was aborted, and blood stained the bench.
Also, the inspection report came out, and the child really had nothing to do with the Lu family.
Vivian didn't know how she felt, especially when she hadn't completely cleared her suspicion yet.
There were too many people coming in and out of the Lu family's old house recently, and no one seemed to care about her.
Even Roe could feel the strange atmosphere. Vivian was always nervous and almost miscarried.
William was fairly frightened. He was busy these days and had no time to come back to sleep.
Hearing the doctor said that she tended to have a slight miscarriage, he was worried and went home.
"It's okay. I know you are busy, and you can go on with your work. I just haven't slept well recently, and will make adjustments later." She gently soothed.
William nodded. He really had no time to care about her, and he knew what was in her mind.
Mr. Hamilton brushed all things aside and didn't go out every day. He looked as if he was expiating. The other people in the Lu family who held important positions did not dare to move at will, lest they be caught tripping, and they contacted with each other by phone. He held on alone, and had to find a way to get the opponent to act as soon as possible, so he was almost exhausted.
But now, all the precautions were done, and they just wait to draw the snake out of its hole.
After lunch, it was rare to rest at home for a while, so William intended to accompany her to take a nap.
Vivian was very delighted and immediately let servants change a new quilt cover.
"Stay with me, okay?" He asked softly, clasping her around the waist.
Vivian nodded and lay down obediently. She stroked his chin, which was a little stubbly.
William usually paid great attention to his image, so it showed how tight the time was to let him be so unkempt.
"William, is it because of the document?" Was that why he was so tired? Was that why the Lu family had been so strange recently?
William turned his head and put his hand to cover her eyes, "Don't think about it. Can't you hear that my daughter is going to bed?"
His other hand consciously touched her stomach. Vivian opened her mouth and then closed, giving up asking.
They woke up at three o'clock in the afternoon.
They got up and went outside. Several men in uniform stood up, "Captain William, are you up?"
William's eyes swept over them, and his expression remained unchanged even after he clearly recognized which department those uniforms belonged to.
"Yes." He replied gently.
They looked at each other, thinking it was rare to see someone who didn't fear them at all.
That was because few people could come out well after the disciplinary inspections.
"Comrade William, we are from the discipline inspection division. Recently we have received a report about you, so please come with us and help us with the investigation." The man held out his work permit and said in a strong voice.
