Chapter 127 Men Are All Jerks
Dr. Sloan was on duty in the dermatology department today. When he was updating medical records, the door was pushed open.
"Can I have a look at the medical records of the patient in Ward 3602?"
Dr. Sloan raised his head in astonishment and looked at the unexpected visitor.
Natalie walked over to him and continued, "Her symptoms are not like those of a cosmetic allergy. It should be a metal allergy."
"Who are you?"
Dr. Sloan raised his voice and asked, "Who let you in?"
How could she arrogantly order him to do things? What a rude woman!
Natalie was speechless, thinking her tone was indeed improper.
She froze for a while. When she was about to speak politely with a smile, Brock suddenly walked over and banged on the table so hard that the glasses on it rattled.
"Watch your mouth! This is Mrs. Ramsey!"
Brock stood in front of him, folded his arms over his chest, and widened his eyes in anger.
Dr. Sloan freaked out. After coming to his senses, he adjusted his glasses that almost fell off his nose bridge, looked through the medical records, and said, "Here is her medical record!"
Natalie had a rough look and politely said, "Please prescribe some chlorpheniramine for her and persuade her into sending the necklace to a testing institution for component identification."
When Dr. Sloan hesitated, Brock glared at him again. Seeing this, Dr. Sloan immediately got up and went to the ward.
The doctors had speculated it was an allergy to metal jewelry this afternoon, but Haylie had said it was impossible because it was a sterling silver necklace.
Silver ions were stable and would not cause allergies unless they contained impurities. Haylie's allergy symptoms had not been relieved after an entire day, so she also began to have doubts. Therefore, when Dr. Sloan asked her to take off the necklace for inspection, she handed it over after hesitating for a second.
Natalie smiled, "Ms. Wyatt, we will bear the testing fee. But if the necklace is confirmed to be the allergen, please cooperate with us and clarify the matter."
Meeing Natalie's seemingly gentle but cold gaze, Haylie lowered her eyes and remained silent.
After a while, she said, "Let's just wait for the test results now!"
Then, she raised her head to look at Natalie and asked in embarrassment, "Can you please pour me a glass of water?"
It was not convenient for her to do it because she was on a drip.
Natalie nodded and went to pour her a glass of warm water.
Haylie picked up her cell phone, dialed a number, and asked, "Where are you? Why don't you come to take care of me?"
The person on the other end of the phone might have said something to anger Haylie. Then she furiously cursed, "I am hospitalized and haven't eaten anything since this morning. Why can't you come? Busy? Don't I know how idle you are? Why can't stop the live broadcast now? Few people are watching! F*ck! How dare you hang up on me!"
Haylie threw away the phone and patted her chest to calm herself down.
Natalie handed a glass of water to her and gently said, "Drink some water. It's hot. Be careful!"
Haylie took the glass over and thanked her.
The water temperature was just right.
After downing the water in one gulp, she was still angry. So, she picked up her phone and called the man again, but he rejected her call.
Haylie opened her mouth and shouted out a string of filthy words.
Then, she clutched her stomach and wailed on the bed, "I'm starving to death! The takeaway can't be delivered. And no one is taking care of me!"
Natalie put down the glass and asked, "What do you want to eat? I'll ask my friend to buy it."
Haylie had not realized she was still there until hearing her words.
She instantly sat up, cleared her throat, and asked, "Won't it be too troublesome?"
Natalie shook her head, "No. And you can order anything you want."
"Well, fried chicken and Coke will be fine!"
