Holding the car key in his hand, he fixed his eyes on Emma's pale face.
"Are you hiding in the hospital after stirring up troubles?" Simon said coldly.
For such a father, Emma has nothing to say but felt bitterly disappointed.
She felt deeply wronged, then pulled the quilt over her head. Years of accumulated grievances seemed to burst out at that moment.
The quilt was uncovered by Simon, and the white ceiling lamp was bright that Emma had nowhere to hide.
Simon stared angrily at Emma who curled up on the hospital bed, and said angrily, "If it weren't for your step mother who forced Kate to tell the truth, I really didn't know that you have a relationship with Ivan."
His voice was heavy with sarcasm, Emma slowly raised her head, "what do you want to say?"
Simon was furious, "why did you learning nothing but choose to be a shameless the other woman at your young age?!"
"The other woman?"
Emma almost thought that there was something wrong with her own ears.
Simon said with certainty, which made her almost thought that she was the other woman who should be scolded. But what about the facts?
Emma sneered, staring at her cold-blooded father, "who is the other woman, Kate or I?"
Simon was taken aback when he was asked, and turned to irritably opened his coat with arms akimbo, then stared at her.
"I really didn't expect it! How did I educate you before? How could you be so shameless and call white black and black white? Since Kate and Ivan have such a good relationship, do you think I am blind?"
She was bitterly disappointed with her father. At that moment, she suddenly didn't want to explain. In Simon's eyes, she would always be a bad girl. Simon would choose to believe Kate when he saw her grievance and helpless in her eyes, no matter what Emma said or did. What was the use of explanations?
"Why don't you speak anymore? Do you approve tacitly?" Simon, blue in the face, looked scary.
Emma raised her small face and looked at him indifferently, "if you came to denounce me, then you have finished your work. Can you go now?"
Simon turned around in anger, then turned back and pointed at her angrily, "you are the same with your mother - stubborn!"
"How could an unfaithful man like you blame my mother?!" Emma finally became angry.
The taboo between them in these years was nothing more than that. Even if Emily passed away, Emma still would not allow anyone to speak ill of her, especially her father who was unfaithful when her mother have passed away not long ago!
Simon was trembling with anger but couldn't find a word to refute.
Emma still stared at him fiercely, "in those years, you passed off black as white and beat my mother regardless of black and white. Don't think I don't know. You and Jessie were hiding in the study and doing nasty things. Don't think I am not aware! Everyone believes that you were with her after my mother passed away, but I am the only one knows what you did! Jessie is ungrateful, even not as good as a dog. Am I wrong? If it wasn’t my mother who subsidized her to finish college, how could she have today’s life?! But what did she do? Climbed onto your bed and seduced her benefactor’s husband. I scolded her for ungratefulness, which was not enough to describe her sins!"
A crisp sound of slap seemed particularly abrupt in the ward.
Emma didn't hide, but suffered the slap herself.
After Simon slapped her face, he was stunned. He was nearly 50 years old but never thought he would still be so impulsive.
